The Network Program Manager is responsible for leading cross-functional initiatives that support provider network operations, data management, credentialing technology, operational reporting, process improvement, and implementation efforts across Optum Health. This role serves as a key liaison between business stakeholders, operations teams, technology partners, vendors, and leadership to drive strategic initiatives, improve operational efficiency, and deliver high-quality business outcomes.
The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver with strong project management, relationship management, analytical, and communication skills who can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while driving accountability and measurable results.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Program & Project Management
  • Lead complex initiatives from intake through implementation, monitoring timelines, risks, dependencies, and deliverables
  • Develop and maintain project plans, status reports, meeting materials, and executive updates
  • Conduct cost-benefit analyses (CBAs), business impact assessments, and data analysis to support strategic decision-making
  • Facilitate cross-functional meetings, document decisions, and drive action item completion
  • Coordinate implementation, enhancement, and optimization efforts across operational and technology teams
  • Monitor project health and escalate risks or barriers as appropriate
• Operational Excellence & Process Improvement
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational workflows, reduce manual effort, and increase efficiency
  • Lead process mapping, documentation, and standardization initiatives
  • Develop and maintain SOPs, job aids, and governance documentation
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts aligned with organizational goals
• Data, Reporting & Insights
  • Develop and maintain operational reporting, dashboards, and performance metrics
  • Analyze trends, identify opportunities, and provide actionable recommendations to leadership
  • Support data governance and ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of reporting
  • Translate complex operational data into meaningful business insights
• Stakeholder & Customer Partnership
  • Build strong partnerships across provider network operations, credentialing, technology, implementation, and leadership teams
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and point of contact for assigned initiatives
  • Communicate project updates, risks, accomplishments, and recommendations to stakeholders
  • Facilitate alignment across business partners to achieve shared objectives
• Vendor & Technology Support
  • Support vendor relationships and ongoing performance monitoring
  • Coordinate issue resolution and enhancement requests with internal and external partners
  • Evaluate technology capabilities and identify opportunities for automation and optimization
  • Participate in testing, implementation, and change management activities

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of project, program, operations, healthcare, or business management experience
• 3+ years of experience leading cross-functional initiatives
• Experience developing operational reporting and performance metrics
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Demonstrated experience conducting cost-benefit analyses and presenting recommendations to leadership
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills including Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint
• Solid written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority

Preferred Qualifications:

• PMP, Lean Six Sigma, Agile, or related project management certification
• Healthcare, provider network, credentialing, or provider data management experience
• Experience with ServiceNow, Power BI, Smartsheet, and Microsoft Power Platform
• Experience supporting healthcare operations, provider data management, network operations, or shared services environments
• Experience supporting technology implementations and operational transformation initiatives
• Advanced knowledge of SharePoint Online, including site architecture, content management, security controls, and collaboration tools
• Experience working with vendors and third-party partners

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $91,700 - $163,700 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
