Network Engineer (Remote | EU/India | UK Financial Services)

Yadimen is looking to hire a Network Engineer for a UK financial services client (building-society sector).

Location / model: Remote-first — Nearshore EU (Poland preferred) or Offshore India ·

Engagement: Contract (B2B / inside umbrella) or FTE Rate (nearshore EU): €225 / day

About the role

You'll join the network infrastructure and operations team of a large, regulated UK financial services organisation. You'll provide day-to-day support of incidents and change requests, and own the installation, configuration and support of production, non-production and disaster-recovery network infrastructure. You'll work across the full lifecycle — design, documentation, build, live transition and support — and apply modern engineering practice: Software-Defined Networking (SDN), automation and orchestration, Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and advanced observability, to deliver resilient, secure and scalable services.

Requirements

Essential skills (all required, hands-on)

  • Cisco Routing & Switching to CCNP/CCIE standard — OSPF, BGP, Spanning-Tree
  • Cisco ACI — data-centre fabric
  • Cisco Secure Access / Secure Connect (SASE) and hybrid ZTNA
  • Cisco Meraki — SD-WAN, switching, wireless
  • Check Point firewalls — CCSA / CCSE
  • F5 — both LTM and GTM (BIG-IP)

Also expected

  • Designing, implementing and supporting LAN/WAN and IP networks
  • DNS and DHCP (Windows / Unix / internet-facing)
  • Security around internet-facing services; understanding of vulnerability assessment / penetration testing
  • Scripting and Infrastructure-as-Code

Environment

Regulated financial-services network estate (Cisco core, Check Point + Cisco firewalls, Meraki, F5, Cisco ACI, cloud-integrated). Emphasis on secure, internet-facing, highly available services.

Experience

8–15 years in enterprise/regulated network engineering. CCIE (Enterprise or Security) strongly preferred given the breadth of the stack.

To apply

Send your CV with earliest availability to Yadimen @ [email protected] . Please confirm location & work authorisation.

What you need to know about the Belfast Tech Scene

If asked to name the birthplace of the RMS Titanic, you might not say Belfast. Similarly, if asked to name Europe's leading destination for foreign direct investment in new software development, Belfast might not come to mind. Yet, both are true. The city has emerged as a tech powerhouse, recently ranked among the best in the U.K. for tech careers — especially for software developers. It also leads the U.K. with the highest percentage of software development jobs advertised.
