NDC & Graphical Senior Process Analyst

Technology Strategy & Optimization is looking for applicants to join our Multi-Year NDC & Graphical Team. Through analyzation and design this team is responsible for solution mitigation of the travel counsellor POS as it relates to technology products and processes changes.  We also ensure existing internal/ external TC POS tools meet the needs of the front-end Traveler Care team to drive operational improvement/ efficiencies by representing their needs in collaboration with development partners.

The NDC & Graphical Senior Process Analyst will provide subject matter expertise across multiple GBT Teams as well as with the GBT NDC Graphical Program itself. The successful candidate will work closely with P&T, SSO, E-Comm, Solution Implementation & Deployment, GSP, L&D and Traveller Care specifically for the industry driven NDC / Graphical change. The ideal candidate will be able to be flexible with their hours based on business needs. Support will also be required by our internal partners to articulate the requirements, challenges as well as validate functionality POS impact to external GDS Vendors, Airlines, or IATA. The successful applicant will be focusing on the Amadeus Market, although there may be some support required for team peers. Additional, lower priority items on NDC/Graphical in another GDS and/or 3rd Party aggregators may be required. They will have the support of other Process Analysts who focus solely on the NDC/Graphical process as this evolves in the industry.
What is NDC? New Distribution Capability is an XML-based communication standard created by IATA to allow airlines to bring fare content/ ancillaries regardless of the distribution channel. It will evolve to replace antiquated  EDIFACT system used by airlines over the past 35+ years.

What You’ll Do on a Typical Day

• Act as subject matter authority on Traveller Care products and processes

• Fully immerse and become proficient on the fast-paced NDC evolution.

• Provide knowledge & recommendations on the solutions required to integrate into GBT POS Processes

• Evaluate the impact of new products or processes introduced provided by the NDC tech team

• Work with the Manager to ensure the Amadeus team tasks are completed by the deadlines provided

• Prepare Functional Design Documents & User story documentation as it relates to the TC Point-of-Sale products for use by development and tech teams

• Create clear process flow documentation including downstream impacts for Program

• In addition, create walk-through videos to be used to educate UAT as well as those creating/delivering learning materials

• Assist in the coordination of task assignments to the Amadeus NDC Graphical team

• Collaborate with Program teams to gain understanding of requirements / processes through conference calls, workshops. Comfortable with working virtual also some limited travel could be required.

• Demos may be required to customers, leadership and/or Vendors to visual contextualize the process changes and impact as it relates to GBT.

• Accountable to refine impact and requirements based on Proof of Concept & Pilot outcomes

• Working with the Manager creating necessary Dashboards and provide analysis of various Amadeus initiatives

• Ability to collaborate with team members and business partners

• Influence outcomes by using relationships

• Review and assess existing processes for potential streamline/efficiencies for NDC/Graphical

• Generate ideas to promote continuous improvement for Graphical

What We’re Looking For

• Extensive Amadeus experience a must and multi GDS understanding is a benefit

• Understanding of functional aspects of point of sale tools, scripts, robotics, front/mid/back office systems and/or Online Booking Tools and processes an asset

• Strong technical proficiency with the ability to communicate complex interrelations in a less complicated way

• Able to provide guidance and task assignment to non direct reports in a positive team environment

• Analytical thinking, flexibility, the ability to act independently and on own responsibility

• Strong Process mapping and impact assessment skills

• Work independently in complex, fast paced virtual team environment, and while making themself available to other team members who may require guidance

• Highly reliable with the ability to withstand stress in a fast paced, changing environment

• Ability to lead change in the face of possible resistance through partnership and collaboration

• Creative thinking skills with a pragmatic solution oriented

• Strong interpersonal skills/relationship building/team oriented

• Excellent relationship management and communication skills (both written and verbal)

• Strong MS Office products such as Excel / Power Point / Word / Visio / Smartsheet / JIRA / Confluence
