Reporting to the Senior Manager, Archive, this role is responsible for the media ingest workflow for the Reuters Archive Team. This includes inbounding and cataloguing, digitization and ingest of video tapes from the Reuters Video Archive and its archive partners.

The Media Operator will inbound and digitize several different tape formats in an organized and timely manner, ensuring it is processed according to Reuters Video Archive guidelines and subject to quality control. They will troubleshoot any technical issues related to either digitization or ingestion, working with the Technical Operations team to resolve them as soon as possible.

The Media Operator will also work closely with the Archive Manager to maintain an efficient workflow and to report back on the content being ingested.

About the Role

As a Media Operator at Thomson Reuters, you will:

  • Organize, receipt and catalogue inventory

  • Coordinate, monitor and QC tape ingestion

  • Format and upload content to the Media Asset Management system

  • Operate and maintain equipment to ensure optimal capacity

About You
