We do this via an open and supportive environment where colleagues can share information, learn from one another, and excel in their own career. With consistent ways of working aligned to industry best practice, we build sustainable and predictable sales pipelines for our market-leading offerings.

What You’ll Do

As Interim Healthcare Marketing Consultant at Kainos, reporting to the Marketing Director, Digital Services, and with a dotted line to the Head of Sales for Healthcare, you will develop and deliver integrated marketing plans that support the growth ambitions of the Healthcare Sector. Working closely with Sales, Account Teams, Alliances, Digital, Content, Events and strategic partners including AWS and Microsoft, you will translate commercial priorities into effective marketing activity that builds reputation, strengthens stakeholder engagement, supports strategic accounts and contributes to growth.

You will lead the planning, activation and optimisation of multi-channel campaigns across the buyer journey, ensuring campaigns are aligned to sector priorities, customer needs and commercial objectives. You will use your healthcare market knowledge and marketing expertise to identify opportunities, shape messaging, support account-based marketing initiatives and drive measurable outcomes.

As a trusted marketing partner, you will build strong relationships across the business, influencing stakeholders and coordinating specialist teams to ensure successful delivery against agreed objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Healthcare market insight and sector positioning

You will develop and maintain a strong understanding of the healthcare market, including NHS, public research and life science priorities, healthcare policy, digital transformation programmes and emerging market opportunities. You will use market insight to identify opportunities, shape campaign plans, inform content development and support sector growth objectives.

Developing and managing campaign plans, budgets and execution

You will create, own and implement integrated campaign plans aligned to commercial priorities for the Healthcare sector. You will define target audiences, messaging and channel strategy, ensuring campaigns and targeted account-based marketing (ABM) initiatives are set up for successful execution. You will manage campaign budgets and ensure delivery is on time and within budget.

Campaign activation and content

You will lead the end-to-end activation of integrated, multi-channel campaigns to drive reputation, demand generation and sales progression. Working with specialist teams across Content, Events, Digital and Marketing Operations, you will ensure campaigns are effectively delivered across channels and aligned to audience needs, buyer journeys and campaign objectives.

Sales, account and stakeholder engagement

You will work closely with Sector Leads, Client Directors, Account Teams and Sales teams to support strategic account development, stakeholder engagement and sales progression. You will align marketing activity to strategic account plans, identifying opportunities to strengthen customer relationships, expand stakeholder coverage and accelerate priority opportunities. You will support account-based marketing (ABM) activity for key accounts, ensuring campaigns, content, events and engagement programmes are tailored to account priorities and commercial objectives. You will also ensure sales teams are equipped with the messaging, content and tools needed to engage prospects and customers effectively.

Reporting, partner marketing and performance optimisation

You will work closely with Marketing Operations, Alliances and Partner Marketing to measure campaign effectiveness, optimise performance and maximise return on investment. You will identify opportunities to work with strategic partners, including AWS and Microsoft, to deliver joint campaigns, events and growth initiatives.

Minimum (essential) requirements

  • Strong understanding of the UK healthcare landscape, including NHS organisations, healthcare policy, digital transformation priorities and the healthcare procurement environment.
  • Experience developing and delivering integrated marketing campaigns that drive business results and support complex healthcare buying cycles.

  • Experience partnering with Sales and Business Development teams to generate, progress and convert pipeline opportunities.
  • Experience managing agency, partner and supplier relationships to deliver marketing outcomes.

What you need to know about the Belfast Tech Scene

If asked to name the birthplace of the RMS Titanic, you might not say Belfast. Similarly, if asked to name Europe's leading destination for foreign direct investment in new software development, Belfast might not come to mind. Yet, both are true. The city has emerged as a tech powerhouse, recently ranked among the best in the U.K. for tech careers — especially for software developers. It also leads the U.K. with the highest percentage of software development jobs advertised.
