What You Will Do

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Market Development Manager who will be responsible for conducting in-depth market research to identify trends, opportunities, and key challenges within the construction & other industries. You'll analyse competitor positioning and develop strategies to differentiate our offerings, identifying potential market segments, partners, and customers. Additionally, you will develop and execute market entry strategies to expand our presence, collaborating with product, sales, and marketing teams to align on positioning, messaging, and target market initiatives.

In this role, you will establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the construction industry and beyond, including contractors, construction firms, technology integrators, and associations. You will create a sub-dealer ecosystem in partnership with the existing Trimble distribution channel and negotiate strategic partnerships with technology providers and industry influencers to strengthen market presence and enhance solution adoption. Your efforts will be crucial in building and maintaining partnerships that enhance market visibility.


Furthermore, you will support the sales team by providing market insights, positioning strategies, and customer feedback, developing collateral, presentations, and sales tools to assist in customer engagement. Engaging with existing and potential customers to understand their pain points, you will demonstrate how our solutions can address those needs, developing case studies, white papers, and success stories to showcase the value of our solutions. You will also represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities, while monitoring and reporting on the success of market development initiatives to drive continuous improvement.


What Skills & Experience You Should Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in market development, business development, or sales within the technology sector
  • Proven track record of successfully developing new markets, launching products, or expanding business in a B2B environment.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to analyse market data and customer feedback to make informed business decisions.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with cross-functional teams.

This is a remote position that will include travel in the UK as well as some international travel.
