Job Description:
The Learning Business Partner (LBP) is responsible for the delivery of training across the business and also acts as the focal point for an assigned org unit(s), taking into account their specific constraints and ensuring on-time, on-cost, on-quality yearly learning plan deployment in the production area, advising the business on the best learning solutions to fit their needs.
This role will offer support to the wider HR and Resourcing team; working closely with Talent Acquisition to ensure smooth onboarding and initial training of new staff.
Job Responsibilities:
Ensure deployment of the learning plan for a defined perimeter (per business area and production domain)
Ensure business proximity and gather learning needs and priorities, understanding business constraints, assessing feasibility and leading deployment of the learning plan working closely with key stakeholders
Lead regular meetings with business focal points to monitor their learning plan and anticipate any challenges
Act as a focal point for the business answering all learning related questions and making links with the central learning team where appropriate
Regular monitoring of the learning plan and anticipating of future learning needs
Contribute to regular multi-functional team meetings representing the Learning team as appropriate, presenting data analysis, identifying challenges and risks, proposing solutions and advising on processes
Anticipating risks and implementing actions to resolve any deployment issues in collaboration with all stakeholders
Assess deployment feasibility of learning projects in partnership with the business
Contribute to learning projects locally and/or transnationally in collaboration with the central learning team
Responsible for preparing and running the Welcome Events, ensuring an effective Onboarding experience.
Facilitation of ongoing training needs analysis across business functions.
Who You Are:
Communicate and Influence: Possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the proven ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively across all levels of the organisation. Must be adept at building consensus, negotiating, and driving change through effective influencing strategies, ensuring alignment with strategic learning objectives.
Build and Animate a Network: Establish, nurture, and strategically manage a robust network of internal and external stakeholders, including subject matter experts, HR colleagues, business leaders, and external training providers. The role requires proactive engagement and animation of this network to share best practices, gather insights, and collaborate on the development and delivery of impactful learning solutions.
Training Administration: Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail and strong organisational skills necessary for efficient training administration. This includes managing the Learning Management System (LMS) where applicable, coordinating logistics for training events (both virtual and in-person), tracking completion rates, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal training requirements.
Ability to Problem Solve: Exhibit a strong analytical mindset and a proactive approach to identifying, assessing, and resolving complex challenges related to learning needs, delivery constraints, and stakeholder resistance. Must be able to develop creative, pragmatic, and scalable solutions that address root causes and drive continuous improvement in the learning function.
Stakeholder Management: Expertly manage relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, understanding their unique needs, priorities, and potential impact on learning initiatives. This involves setting clear expectations, providing regular updates, managing conflicting demands, and ensuring stakeholders feel valued and informed throughout the entire learning partnership lifecycle.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Training or Learning Coordinator role.
Candidates must possess a minimum of an HNC or relevant professional qualification.
Demonstrable experience managing stakeholders across multiple sites.
Advanced proficiency in Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel, including the use of advanced functions, automation, and reporting tools.
Experience designing and delivering training sessions and events.
Experience procuring and vetting external training providers.
This role is graded L4
