Job Description SummaryLead design quality assurance engineer will be an integral part of Quality Systems and Compliance team at GE Aerospace Dowty Propellers Headquarters at Brockworth, Gloucester. Lead design quality assurance engineer will work closely with design and development team on wide range of design and sustainment programs to ensure compliance with highest quality and regulatory standards. Lead design quality assurance engineer will develop and execute an audit plan to ensure business compliance to Part21 regulations and AS9100 standard requirements. You will enhance Quality Management System through continuous improvement and process development including have a key contributor in business Safety Management System. You will also play an important role in overseeing and providing technical guidance to internal customers, team members and stakeholders.Job DescriptionEssential Responsibilities: 

  • Develop an audit program to cover Part21 regulations and AS9100 requirements.
  • Improve and maintain Quality Management System related to design processes
  • Subject Matter Expert in Part21 regulations
  • Support Independent System Monitoring function
  • Ensure design projects adhere to internal and external quality standards and regulations.
  • Manage and host external audits
  • Manage internal and external audit findings and work closely with the stake holders for their closure.
  • Supporting daily quality and operations reporting through standard meeting rhythms  
  • Identification of opportunities for improvement projects 
  • Ownership of root cause corrective actions reducing CoPQ

Qualifications/Requirements: 

  • Relevant technical education or degree with experience in Quality or Engineering 
  • Knowledge of Part21 regulations
  • Proven experience in QC Engineering, Quality System Planning and Quality Improvement methods 
  • Working knowledge of CAA regulations 
  • Working knowledge of AS9100/ISO9001 requirements
