The Launch Excellence Manager will oversee the implementation of launch strategies, facilitate cross-functional collaboration, assess market needs, and enhance product performance, particularly in oncology within the pharmaceutical context.
Job description for Launch Excellence Manager
• Partner with Launch Excellence Team and complete alignment with Global, Intl. Commercial Office (ICO) and Commercial.• Support in TA OP preparation as needed.• Deep understanding of pharmaceutical environment, strong knowledge of Pfizer portfolio and the hospital specialized business, particularly oncology is preferred.
Implement the Enterprise Launch Approach (ELA):• Understand the process and tools for implementing the ELA Pfizer's model in the launching cross functional teams (XFT) to adopt and execute.• Lead the development and validation of the very early stages of local commercial plans (competitor strategies, patient engagement plans and go to market model) and the assessment of pipeline assets (product forecast, competitor analysis, market research, etc.).
Operational Planning & Execution:• Ensure local adherence to global launch operations standards and alignment to approved brand strategy.• Foster healthy & timely bi-directional collaboration & communication across Global, ICO and in-market launch stakeholders.
Launch Readiness & Reporting:• Identify asset team resource requirements and flag areas of risk and/or concern. Make recommendations to local Leadership.• Drive escalation and resolution of critical issues impacting organizational readiness.• Capture, share, and incorporate best practices and insights to drive increased launch efficiency and optimization across businesses in market and globally.• Boost local launch performance monitoring.• Collective Advantage: Participate actively in regional and global forums (i.e. Launch Excellence Leads Community)• Act as change champion for innovative initiatives (XFT ways of working, non-promotional initiatives, disease awareness campaigns).
QUALIFICATIONS• Bachelor's degree.• More than 7 years of pharmaceutical industry experience in marketing, strategy, new product launch and business development (preferred).• Market/regional/global product launch planning and implementation experience desirable.• Pharma Industry and Business Knowledge across Therapeutic Areas: Deep understanding of trends in health care and pharmaceuticals; customer and stakeholder landscape, competitive dynamics, regulatory and access environment, channels and sources of business. Familiarity with the drug development process. Ability to apply knowledge of industry and market trends to develop strategies and quantify business ideas.• Leadership: Comfort with ambiguity and complex environments. Ability to embrace and encourage the implementation of innovative ideas and foster a culture of collaboration/teamwork. Demonstrated expertise and capabilities in matrixed, cross-functional leadership and influencing without authority.• Business Acumen: Ability to understand business issues and analyse/synthesize detailed information to problem-solve and/or establish clear measures of success.• Prioritization: Ability to prioritize the assets priorities, value drivers, and make trade-off decisions for resource allocation required to optimize success.
