An integral part of our team, the Key Account Manager is entrusted with nurturing relationships across a diverse range of customers, from Primary business owners to Optometrists and Optical staff across major key accounts and independents. Through an exceptional training programme, you'll gain a comprehensive understanding of products and services, enabling you to become a genuine brand advocate.

Withing your designated territory, you will collaborate closely with your customers through regular interactions.

As a Key Account Manager, your role goes beyond sales; it involves truly understanding your customers, empathising with their needs, and identifying solutions that will facilitate their growth, both clinically and commercially. Crafting strategic approaches, analysing sales data, championing novel products, and actively innovating while training and educating optometrists are all integral components of this multifaceted position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve Targets: Drive towards and surpass agreed-upon objectives and sales targets.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute effective territory plans, leveraging marketing initiatives and product launches to maximise impact.
  • Market Insight: Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to inform strategic decisions.
  • Representation: Represent the business at regional and national clinical conferences, embodying our values and vision.
  • Reporting: Maintain meticulous territory reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness within our CRM systems.
  • Customer Engagement: Foster strong relationships with customers through regular interactions, understanding their unique needs and challenges.
  • Education and Training: Provide guidance, education, and training to optometrists, supporting their professional development and enhancing their clinical offering.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Experience: Previous experience in sales or customer-facing roles.
  • Education: Degree level qualification, ideally with a focus on science or business.
  • Driver's License: Valid driver's license with no more than three points.
  • Technical Proficiency: Competency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, along with familiarity with CRM systems.
  • Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively within a team while also demonstrating personal accountability and initiative.
