POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking an IT Engineer to join our team and provide technical support for our computer systems, AV and network infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background and be able to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely and effective manner. The IT Engineer will be responsible for installing and configuring hardware and software components, performing system maintenance and updates, and ensuring system security and data protection. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are also essential to collaborate effectively with other IT professionals and end-users.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Providing first-line contact to clients via phone, email, remote access and on-site
  • Diagnosing and supporting clients’ technical issues with their IT infrastructure including hardware, software, network and internet connectivity
  • Maintain the current technology infrastructure to ensure that it is reliable, optimized and fit for purpose.
  • Maintain infrastructure resilience, backup and recovery
  • Ensure the delivery of a high quality, business focused IT support service in line with agreed SLAs
  • Ensure that the technology infrastructure is secure and remains so, working closely with the US and other regional teams
  • Maintain information technology and computer systems, monitoring network technology change and delivering on same.
  • Disaster planning to keep the company functional in the event of a crisis.
  • Manage budgets and ensure cost effectiveness in the procurement and management of equipment and electronic devices and all related IT services.
  • Deliver on agreed IT strategy on the achievement of goals and objectives to meet with corporate plans.
  • Identify and develop opportunities for continuous improvement.

 WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Experience in an IT Engineer/Technician role.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels in the organisation and to different levels of technical ability.
  • Proven ability to work and deliver effectively within defined measures of success.
  • An analytical and pragmatic problem-solving focus.
  • Self-motivated and decisive, with the ability to adapt to change and competing demands.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Degree in Information Technology or related subject / experience.
  • Recognized professional I.T. qualifications or relevant experience.
  • ITIL Qualified (preferable)
  • Experience with Windows 10 and Active Directory
  • Experience of the O365 suite of applications and tools.
  • Experience of WAN technologies such as MPLS, site to site VPN, SD-WAN as well as internet breakout and web filtering technologies.
