We are looking for an experienced Internal Communication Manager to join our People and Communications team at Westpac. This role sits within a team of Internal Communications Managers accountable for working together under the leadership of the Senior Manager Internal Communications & Channels.
You will be a trusted internal communications partner to a portfolio of business units, holding end-to-end accountability for their communications strategy and the execution of the strategy with the alignment and distribution of any communications targeted at enterprise level. You will provide strategic counsel and constructive challenge on the narrative, sequencing, tone and audience impact of communications, and alignment to our communications principles.
This role contributes to the management of incident communications.

Experience in advising and influencing senior stakeholders; able to provide constructive challenge and manage ambiguity, competing priorities and sensitive issues
Strong stakeholder management and ability to build trusted relationships across a broad portfolio
Experience leading internal communications for large-scale transformation and organisational change, including narrative development, leader communications, engagement strategies and adoption campaigns
Creative and innovative in approach
Proven ability to manage high-risk / high-sensitivity communications, including incident communications with appropriate escalation, approvals and controls
Advanced writing and editorial capability, with experience writing for a range of channels including video scripts and online channels
Tertiary qualification in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, Business, or equivalent experience
