The Role:
The Group Product Manager (GPM) is a player-coach who leads the strategy–product interface for their domain and directly manages a team of Product Managers. Reporting to the Head of Product or Director of Product Management, you will translate company strategy and Market Owner direction into squad-level outcomes, and you will be accountable for both the collective output and the development of your team.
Product strategy at CluePoints is owned by the Strategy/CSO function (Market Owners). As GPM you co-define strategic direction with Market Owners, ensure the product perspective is fully represented, and are accountable for turning agreed strategy into measurable outcomes. Success in this role means a high-performing, psychologically safe PM team that consistently delivers outcomes (not just outputs) in an AI-first, empowered-squad operating model.
What You'll Need
Must Haves

• Proven product management experience at Product Manager level or above, with a track record of owning outcomes and metrics across discovery to delivery.

• Demonstrated people leadership: coaching, performance management and career development of Product Managers (or equivalent product practitioners).

• Strong discovery practice, with the ability to coach others and to use domain expertise to challenge findings.

• Experience translating strategy into squad-level outcomes, including OKR-based planning and portfolio-level prioritisation and trade-offs.

• Working knowledge of regulated software development (GxP and audit readiness) and the ability to apply regulatory and quality standards to product decisions.

• Practical AI fluency: comfortable working AI-first and coaching a team to review and challenge AI-generated specifications and artefacts.

• Credible stakeholder management with Market Owners, Strategy, Engineering, Sales and customer-facing teams, including senior leaders.

• Excellent communication skills, able to represent a domain at leadership level and to resolve messaging and positioning conflicts.

Nice To Haves
  • Experience in clinical trials technology, risk-based quality management, or clinical data analytics.

  • Experience recruiting and onboarding product talent, and building team standards that others reference.

  • Experience co-defining go-to-market approaches with other key staleholders from Strategy and commercial functions.

  • Comfort credibly engaging with engineering on architecture and platform implications.

  • Practical AI fluency: comfortable working AI-first and coaching a team to review and challenge AI-generated specifications and artefacts.

What You'll Do
Strategy & Portfolio Leadership

  • Translate company strategy and Market Owner direction into actionable squad-level outcomes, owning the OKR cascade from domain strategy to squad goals.

  • Own roadmap prioritisation and portfolio-level trade-off decisions, and remain accountable for domain-level business outcomes.

  • Co-define the go-to-market approach for your domain with Market Owners, and hold the quality bar for enablement materials produced by your team.

  • Represent the domain at leadership level and act as the escalation point for major product or customer issues.

Discovery, Metrics & Delivery Quality
  • Set and maintain discovery standards across all squads in your domain; join discovery calls to challenge surface-level findings, deepen questions and surface edge cases and biases.

  •  Ensure success metrics are defined and used consistently across your portfolio, reviewing portfolio-level metric health and surfacing business risk before it becomes visible to leadership.

  • Hold the team accountable to outcomes rather than velocity, coaching PMs away from output and feature-factory thinking.

  •  Ensure no feature ships without appropriate regulatory and quality consideration, applying GxP-aware standards consistently across the portfolio.

AI-First Ways of Working & Cross-Functional Partnership

  •  Coach PMs on AI-assisted ways of working, ensuring the team reviews and challenges AI-generated artefacts and does not revert to manual-first habits.

  • Maintain a cohesive vision, goals and processes with peer GPMs; proactively align to avoid fragmentation of the PM practice and surface cross-domain dependencies early.

  • Act as the voice of the customer in release planning, influencing release sequencing and validation priorities (advocating within release management and validation, not owning them).

  • Act as the primary interface with Sales, Customer Engagement and Professional Services for your domain, ensuring consistent, high-quality enablement at launch.

  • Ensure every PM on your team has sufficient direct customer access and remove blockers to continuous discovery.

What you need to know about the Belfast Tech Scene

If asked to name the birthplace of the RMS Titanic, you might not say Belfast. Similarly, if asked to name Europe's leading destination for foreign direct investment in new software development, Belfast might not come to mind. Yet, both are true. The city has emerged as a tech powerhouse, recently ranked among the best in the U.K. for tech careers — especially for software developers. It also leads the U.K. with the highest percentage of software development jobs advertised.
