The Role:
Fixture Operations Specialist is a senior role that reports directly to the Lead Fixture Operations Specialist. The role requires very good understanding of the area and how it fits into the wider business. Fixture Operations Specialist will be required to identify gaps in products and processes, devise and execute improvement plans by contributing to projects and embedding operational excellence across Fixture Operations teams.
Main Responsibilities:
- Help Plan, develop, and deliver ad-hoc projects driven by business needs
- Help devise and implement a long-term strategic plan to achieve Operational Excellence
- Increase the level of automation in the Fixture Operations domain
- Apply subject expertise in evaluating operations and processes
- Identify gaps and areas for improvement, developing, and executing improvement plans
- Identify operational waste and recommend mitigation strategies
- Identify gaps in the knowledge base, tailor and deliver training to new and existing staff when required.
- Work with Product and Engineering to drive and support product development and new product discovery.
- Present and justify operational needs and product requirements.
- Design and document processes and maintain a knowledge hub for the Fixture Operations domain
- Work closely with Fixture Operations leadership and stakeholders and create strategic relationships
- Compile and deliver regular and ad hoc reports and comprehensive analysis
Required Skills:
- Understanding of Operational Excellence
- Basic knowledge of Lean Six Sigma theory
- Good understanding of error-proofing
- Experience in process design and implementation
- Track record in process improvement
- In-depth knowledge of the Fixture Operations domain and conceptual understanding of how it fits into the wider business
- High accuracy and attention to detail
- Critical thinking and analytical approach
- Proven ability to lead projects end-to-end
- Good communication skills and ability to translate complex information into comprehensible content
- Ability to work independently but also successfully collaborate with other people from different levels in the organization
- Experience with low-code/no-code platforms and ability to design and implement small-scale automations or applications to improve operational efficiency
- Fluent written and verbal English
