Field Enablement Manager

Job Description

Since its inception in 1992, SUSE has been at the forefront of technical innovation where change has been the only constant.

 

The primary responsibility of this position is the planning, management and execution of enablement events throughout EMEA and the US regions. The enablement function increases the understanding of our solutions through training and enablement of our partners and internal teams in GCO.

This will support business growth in line with our ambitious objectives and company culture. 

Critical to achieving excellent results will be to ensure the smooth running of our on-boarding programme and subsequent reporting of results. As well as webinars such as our salescasts.

The role sits within the CRO function, reporting to the Director of Field Enablement and Delivery, who is UK based.


 

Focus Areas 

  • Work directly with Partner Enablement, Sales Enablement, Technical Training teams, as well as with Sales and Partner Management teams in the regions, to understand Sales Enablement and Technical Training needs, available content and delivery resources

  • Prepare, organise and execute enablement and training events, meetings, salescasts and webinars, including some custom offerings, mainly in the Americas and EMEA regions

  • Manage the budget and expenses for enablement and training events in the region, following the guidelines from the Director of Field Enablement and Delivery.

  • Leverage the Learning Management System and other electronic delivery platforms to deliver enablement and training content to employee and partner audiences

  • Establish project plans for enablement and training events, track and report on project status

  • Create Purchase Orders in SAP for invoice (team internal procurement and also Partner Enablement Events), collect invoices and send them to Finance for processing

  • Track, report and analyse executed enablement activities, surveys and success metrics

  • Assist in projects or initiatives upon request from the Director of Field Enablement and Delivery, like Sales Kick Off, SUSECON etc.

  • Occasional travel is required


 

Preferred Experience & Skills 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

  • Minimum of 5 years in sales enablement, channel enablement or training service role

  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong project management and organisational skills, ability to react nimbly to new opportunities ( PRINCE2 or equivalent experience)

  • Proven track record of managing logistics 

  • Affinity with metrics, reporting and analyses, strong MS Excel skills
