What You’ll Do 

As an Events Associate in Kainos, working within the Campaign Activation team and reporting to the Events Marketing Manager, you will support the planning, coordination, and delivery of global event programmes aligned to commercial priorities for the Workday Product Business Unit.  

You will support the execution of flagship and BAU events including Workday tradeshows, industry events, executive events, and field marketing activity such as Workday Community events. This is an event coordination and delivery support role, helping to ensure events are effectively planned, activated, and followed up to drive brand awareness, engagement, pipeline generation, and opportunity progression.  

Working closely with the Events Marketing Manager, Events Senior Associate, Sales, SDRs, Alliances, Sales Enablement, and wider marketing teams including Product Marketing, Content, and Marketing Operations, you will help ensure strong alignment from event planning through to post-event follow-up and reporting.  

You will use your organisation skills, attention to detail, and commercial awareness to support high-quality event delivery, stakeholder coordination, and overall event performance.  

Key Responsibilities 

  • Assisting with development and management of event plans, budgets and delivery – you will support the planning and day-to-day delivery of event programmes, ensuring timelines, logistics, and budgets are managed effectively. You will help maintain event plans and keep allocated budgets and project tracking up to date.  
  • Supporting event delivery and activation – working with marketing colleagues, sales teams, and subject-matter experts across the business, you will support the delivery of events designed to drive engagement, demand generation, and pipeline progression. This includes event logistics, supplier coordination, attendee management, financial management, communications, and on-the-day support remote or in-person as required.  
  • Supporting flagship and field events – you will help deliver strategic event programmes such as Workday Rising, tradeshows, executive events, and Workday Community activity, ensuring all elements are coordinated effectively and aligned to business objectives.  
  • Contributing to reporting, accountability and ROI – you will actively contribute to event effectiveness and ROI reporting through evaluation, analysis, and post-event follow-up. Working with Marketing Operations and Sales teams, you will help track leads, attendance, engagement, and overall event performance.  
  • Developing relationships with Partners and agencies – supporting colleagues, you will help foster strong relationships with key partners such as Workday and liaise with agencies, venues, suppliers, and external stakeholders to ensure effective event delivery.  
  • Working as part of a team – you will proactively collaborate as part of the Events team and wider marketing function to deliver against overall OKRs. You will support internal stakeholders across all levels of the business and contribute to a high-performing team environment.  

 

Minimum (essential) requirements:  

  • Experience in a marketing, events, or project coordination related role  
  • Good knowledge of event marketing and willingness and desire to develop further expertise  
  • Strong organisation and coordination skills with excellent attention to detail  
  • Experience supporting event delivery, project coordination, or campaign execution  
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment  
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills  
  • Experience of working effectively in a team environment with a collaborative, can-do attitude  
  • A self-starter who is highly motivated, confident, focused, and disciplined with a drive to succeed, whilst upholding Kainos values  
  • Show resilience and persistence with the ability to learn from mistakes plus guidance and coaching from colleagues  
  • Ability to think creatively and solve problems effectively  
  • Comply with all confidentiality and non-disclosure policies and ensure security of information at all times  

 

Desirable:  

  • Degree or Higher in Marketing, Communications, Events Management, or a similar, relevant discipline  
  • Professional qualification, or studying towards it, in marketing or events management (e.g. CIM)  
  • Experience within the Workday ecosystem or enterprise SaaS environment  
  • Experience supporting tradeshows, field events, webinars, or executive events  
  • Some experience or exposure to CRM and marketing automation  
  • Experience of working with Sales / SDR teams to support lead generation and follow-up  
  • Understanding of generating leads and managing them through to qualification  
  • Experience of working with agencies, venues, suppliers, or external event partners  
  • Good understanding of event marketing techniques and how events contribute to pipeline generation
