Job Description:

Subject to the successful closing of the transaction with Spirit, after obtaining relevant regulatory approvals

 

SECURITY CLEARANCE: You will be subject to BPSS and Export Control checks (including a criminal record check) 

 

TRAVEL REQUIRED: Occasional travel within UK

 

LOCATION: Belfast

As the EHS Controller/Manager you will be responsible for the overall safety of all personnel and assets, acting as a crucial link between management and staff to promote a strong Environment, Health & Safety culture. 

You will work to implement and maintain EHS governance and improvement plans, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and company policies. This role supports local management in risk assessment, competency management, and emergency preparedness. Your work will be vital in driving a 'safety first' mindset across the organization.

 

HOW YOU'LL CONTRIBUTE

  • Lead the preparation and delivery of effective EHS governance and coordinate the EHS improvement plans.

  • Support local management with risk assessment and control, while also maintaining the company’s risk register.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for all EHS issues, including audits, and manage the timely completion of any remedial actions.

  • Develop and deliver EHS communications, such as Tool Box Talks and monthly reports, to maintain awareness and drive a positive safety culture.

  • Investigate work-related incidents to implement effective countermeasures and represent the Belfast site on company-wide EHS topics.

 

ABOUT YOU

  • Proven capability in planning and delivering improvement projects.

  • Previous experience working in a similar role within Aerospace or similar (Automotive, rail etc)

  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical data.

  • Knowledge of EHS processes, procedures, and UK legislation.

  • Practical experience in financial planning and control.

  • Familiarity with SAP systems and processes.
