Working as part of a cross functional team, you deliver the RDQ activities required to complete Packaging Design and Packaging Deployment for Innovation/Growth projects and productivity projects across multiple geographies with an emphasis on delivering the desired consumer experience.
How you will contribute
With the support and guidance of a manager, you will organize and execute projects in line with RDQ, marketing and manufacturing requirements, effectively communicating status and risks. You will plan and conduct activities to generate appropriate packaging information, using sampling and supplier management, and pilot plant and factory trials in accordance with good manufacturing practice and HACCP requirements. In this role, you will plan and conduct process development activities (e.g. packaging design and specifications, packaging scale up, commissioning etc.) and help with planning and the effective use of resources, including the use of external agencies. You will also create technical reports, which will require your skills in analysis and interpretation of results that will lead to conclusions and recommendations; create and maintain accurate packaging specifications; and create intellectual property to drive our competitive advantage.

We are delighted to offer a new opportunity within our Packaging Tablets & Countlines team, focussing on the Northern & Western Europe portfolio. You'll contribute to the commercialisation of packaging concepts for our iconic Marabou, Freia, and Cote D'or brands, helping translate consumer needs into well-loved packaging experiences. We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Packaging Technologist, ready to join our Research and Development team.
The Opportunity
This exciting role offers you the chance to be at the forefront of packaging innovation, shaping the future experience of some of the world's most recognizable chocolate brands for consumers across the globe. You will be instrumental in driving technical excellence, creativity, and strategic foresight to develop breakthrough packaging solutions that delight consumers and meet stringent industry standards.
What You Will Do
  • Innovate & Develop: Lead the development of packaging for new products and optimize existing solutions for our Marabou, Freia, and Cote D'or portfolios.
  • Technical Expertise: Apply rigorous technical understanding of packaging materials, manufacturing processes, and supply chain considerations to ensure robust, scalable, and sustainable designs.
  • Strategic Vision: Translate brand strategies and consumer insights into tangible packaging concepts.
  • Collaboration: Work seamlessly within cross-functional teams, collaborating with marketing, supply chain, and production to bring innovative concepts from ideation to launch.
  • Quality & Compliance: Ensure all packaging designs adhere to our high-quality standards, regulatory requirements, and our commitment to responsible and sustainable practices.

Important: this is a fixed-term contract for 12 months.
Work Hours: standard working hours, Mon-Fri. We operate in a hybrid model, 3x a week in the office. Some traveling to Norway/Sweden may be required.
