Job Summary

As a Data Engineer Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in maintaining and optimizing our data infrastructure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data workflows are efficient, secure, and aligned with business objectives.

Job Description

We are looking for a Data Engineer Support Specialist to ensure data workflows are efficient, secure, and aligned with business objectives. This position will be full-time and remote.

What You'll Do:

  • Manage and optimize data pipelines and workflows using AWS Redshift, Glue, and Lambda.

  • Develop and execute complex SQL queries for data analysis and extraction.

  • Implement and maintain data storage solutions using S3 and DynamoDB.

  • Utilize AWS Athena for efficient data query and analysis.

  • Support infrastructure as code initiatives with Terraform, ensuring scalable and reliable infrastructure deployments.

  • Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to support their data needs.

  • Ensure data security and compliance with industry standards.

What You'll Need:

Required Skills

  • Proven experience with AWS services, including Redshift, S3, Glue, Lambda, and Athena.

  • Strong proficiency in SQL and data manipulation.

  • Experience with DynamoDB and understanding of NoSQL databases.

  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IAC) tools, particularly Terraform.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a similar data engineering support role

  • Knowledge of data security best practices

  • AWS certifications are a plus

Physical Demands

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions

  • Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.

  • Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
