PeopleCert is looking for a Cloud Data Architect to join the relevant team and support data driven decision making of the organization by developing the appropriate corporate data warehouse/s, corporate data lake/s, cubes for self-service reporting, and advanced analytics & AI deliverables.
As a Cloud Data Architect, your tasks will include the following:
- Build, implement, and maintain scalable Enterprise Data Warehouses (EDW) and Data Lakes on Microsoft Azure, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and cloud best practices.
- Design and orchestrate Azure Data Factory pipelines for ELT workloads, integrating diverse data sources such as CRM, ERP, Call Center systems, multimedia streams, and custom applications.
- Apply Data Democratization Techniques to ensure secure, scalable, and governed access to data across the organization, enabling self-service analytics and informed decision-making.
- Lead and support Master Data Management (MDM) initiatives to ensure consistency, accuracy, and accountability of key business entities across systems.
- Work closely with DMO team members to design cloud-optimized data models, data flows, BI reports, and AI/ML solutions.
- Monitor and optimize data architecture performance, ensuring cost-efficiency and continuous improvement in cloud resource utilization.
- Stay current with Azure advancements and recommend architectural enhancements to improve scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Provide training and mentorship to DMO members on cloud-native data architecture and implementation best practices.
- Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date documentation of the cloud data architecture.
What we look for:
- Proven experience as a Cloud Data Architect, Data Engineer, or Software Developer, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure technologies (e.g., Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse, Azure Databricks).
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Business Management, or a related field.
- Azure Data certifications (e.g., DP-203) are highly desirable.
- Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT tools (e.g., Azure Data Factory, SSIS) and advanced T-SQL skills.
- Familiarity with Power BI, SSAS Tabular, and DAX is a plus.
- Exposure to data science workflows, including Python, Jupyter Notebooks, and Databricks, is advantageous.
- Strong commitment to quality, delivery timelines, and collaborative teamwork.
- Excellent knowledge of English (C2 level certification desired, LanguageCert C2 LTE or C2 IESOL certificate would be a plus) Extra languages desired.
- Advanced computer literacy is required. ECDL Advance level certification is desirable.
- Knowledge in Fabric will be considered as plus.

Working on Home Office (HO) Secure English Language Tests (SELTs)
Any person who is engaged by PeopleCert to work on the SELT service must undergo a Background Check (the results of which must be acceptable to PeopleCert and the HO) prior to commencing their SELT duties. All SELT personnel will be required to complete a declaration (provided by PeopleCert) where the existence of any criminal record and/or bankruptcy must be declared.
- If working on the SELT service in the UK, background checks will include:
- If working on the SELT service anywhere in the world (outside of the UK) personnel will undergo background checks that are equivalent to those stated for the UK.
- In addition, if personnel are required to speak to SELT candidates they must be appropriately skilled in English language and, where SELT services are provided anywhere in the world (outside of the UK), the official language of the relevant country.
