We have a great opportunity to join our People and Communications team at Westpac NZ as a Corporate Communications Specialist.

If you’re looking for a role where you can see across the whole business – and help shape communications that resonate with our people - this is it.

As part of the Corporate Communications team, you’ll support the planning and delivery of high-impact communications across some of Westpac’s most important enterprise priorities. From organisational strategy and performance through to enterprise-wide events like Forums and online all-ins, you’ll help bring clarity to where we’re heading and what it means for our people.

You’ll play a key role in how we communicate about our culture, engagement and employee experience, helping connect our people to the organisation we’re building together and the role they play in delivering great outcomes for our customers.

You’ll also lead the production of regular enterprise-wide communications and publications – sourcing content, shaping messaging and managing delivery to ensure consistency, relevance and quality.

  • Experience in an equivalent role

  • A can-do attitude and energy, and team collaboration mindset

  • Strong writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to turn complex information into clear, engaging content

  • Good judgement and a thoughtful approach to communication – understanding what matters for our audiences, how to land a message effectively and manage issues with sensitivity

  • Strong relationship skills, with the confidence to work across a range of stakeholders

  • A proactive, organised approach, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver at pace

  • Experience in video editing is preferred, with production skills to film and edit internal videos

  • A tertiary qualification in a field relevant to communications is also preferred
