What we are looking for

We are looking for a passionate and highly motivated Content Lead to join our established marketing team.

About us

Here at Seismic we have a two-part vision: to help 10 million people join the shift by 2030 and to be the best place we have ever worked.

We know that’s an ambitious vision. That means challenging ourselves and our clients every day, striving for growth, and delivering real impact.

We foster a culture of continuous learning and mutual support, ensuring every changemaker feels empowered to grow and contribute their best.

We are not just talking about change; we are actively driving it. We ourselves are a B Corp and our team of B Corp, Net Zero, Reporting and Sustainability Comms experts collaborates to deliver measurable impact for clients ranging from innovative SMEs to global corporations. You can read some of their stories here.

We’re a close-knit team, working together towards a shared vision. All that’s missing is you!

The role and its responsibilities

We're seeking a dynamic Content Lead to spearhead our content initiatives, driving brand awareness and engagement through compelling storytelling and data-driven optimisation. Working as part of our go-to-market team, this role is pivotal in shaping our organisation's voice, developing and executing a comprehensive, cross-channel content plan and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, impactful content that resonates with our target audience.

You will be expected to lead this function and proactively communicate your plans and rationale. You will be responsible for the full content lifecycle, from planning and creation to performance analysis and optimisation, while managing supplier relationships and empowering internal teams with engaging content releases.

The exact role definition will be dependent on the desire, capability and experience of the right person.
Key responsibilities are likely to include:

  • Content Strategy & Planning:

    • Develop and execute a strategic content plan that directly supports organisational goals, and resonates with our target audience

    • Define and maintain the organisation's tone of voice, evolving our core messaging

    • Through content, demonstrate our thought leadership and create mechanisms for quality lead generation

  • Content Creation & Delivery:

    • Oversee the production of diverse content formats: blogs, guides, website copy, videos, event materials, social media, podcast scripts, award submissions, and PR

    • Manage daily content operations on LinkedIn, fostering community engagement

    • Manage external content suppliers, ensuring timely delivery and project excellence

    • Maintain rigorous quality control, ensuring all content is engaging and optimised for each platform

    • Drive internal content awareness, disseminating new releases to maximise team engagement

    • Lead content repurposing initiatives to enhance efficiency and impact

    • Keep up to date with trends in content creation; new formats, favourable mediums and opportunities for lead generation

  • Performance Measurement & Optimisation:

    • Track and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) such as website traffic, engagement, and conversion rates

    • Utilise data insights to identify optimisation opportunities and drive continuous improvement

    • Develop a content planning and creation process that drives efficiency (e.g. batching, repurposing, leveraging AI)

About you

You believe that humanity and businesses need to make a seismic shift in the right direction and want to apply your strategic and tactical content capabilities to help make that happen. At the same time you want to work in a friendly, collaborative and empathetic team who are delivering impactful projects for high-profile clients. You will especially enjoy working at Seismic if you have a growth mindset and are comfortable with uncertainty, as we are a fast-growing, agile and evolving business.

To be successful in this role you would need the following attributes:

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years experience in a similar content management role

  • Exceptional Communication: Proven mastery of copy-writing, editing, and verbal communication

  • Strategic Content Expertise: Demonstrated proficiency in content strategy, creation, marketing and social media

  • Commercial Acumen: Evidence of generating and delivering content strategy linked to commercial outcomes

  • SEO Acumen: Strong understanding of SEO principles and best practices

  • Data-Driven Analysis: Proven ability to analyse data, identify trends, and derive actionable insights

  • CMS Proficiency: Experience managing content within content management systems

  • AI Integration: Ability to effectively leverage AI tools for research and ideation

  • Leading Without Authority: Ability to gain buy-in from wider team for support in achieving content outcomes

  • Vendor Management: Ability to work well with (and optimise output from) external partners to achieve objectives within timelines and budget

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Knowledge and passion for corporate sustainability

  • Experience in professional services marketing

  • Experience optimising content management processes

  • Deeper AI experience to leverage this capability as a true partner for content creation and optimisation

You are proactive, have a keen eye for detail and enjoy juggling multiple projects and priorities and enjoy just the right amount of time pressure to help keep productive and focused. You are a ‘people person’ with a knack for building relationships.

You are more excited by the opportunities of working for a young, fast growing, ever evolving, purpose-driven business than for a large corporate.

What you need to know about the Belfast Tech Scene

If asked to name the birthplace of the RMS Titanic, you might not say Belfast. Similarly, if asked to name Europe's leading destination for foreign direct investment in new software development, Belfast might not come to mind. Yet, both are true. The city has emerged as a tech powerhouse, recently ranked among the best in the U.K. for tech careers — especially for software developers. It also leads the U.K. with the highest percentage of software development jobs advertised.
