Our vision is to create a world-class business development and marketing capability for Kainos, fuelled by a diverse range of highly talented and motivated professionals working collaboratively and innovatively to ensure we continue our growth trajectory.
We do this via an open and supportive environment where colleagues can share information, learn from one another, and excel in their own career. With consistent ways of working aligned to industry best practice, we build sustainable and predictable sales pipelines for our market-leading offerings.
What You’ll Do
As a Senior Campaign Operations Executive in Kainos, you will be the hands-on builder behind our campaign engine — translating campaign briefs into well-built, well-measured Marketo programmes that launch on time, on brief and on budget.
You will be part of the Marketing Operations team that acts as the operational backbone for the BU Marketing Team, working closely with the Campaign Operations Consultant to deliver always-on campaign execution across Marketo, MS Dynamics and Demandbase.
You will support the Campaign Operations Consultant on day-to-day campaign delivery, deputise for them on BAU activity where needed, and act as a go-to point for other marketers across Workday Product on campaign build standards, reporting and best practice.
Key Responsibilities
• Campaign build & Marketo execution – as part of the campaign operations team you will be a key builder of Marketo campaigns end-to-end, including programme builds, emails, landing pages, forms, smart lists, tokens, nurture flows and triggered campaigns. You will own campaign QA, ensuring every campaign is tested, deliverable, on-brand and behaves as briefed before it goes live.
• Marketo flows & automation – you will design and build Marketo smart campaigns, engagement programmes and operational flows that scale repeatable campaign patterns (welcome journeys, nurture streams, re-engagement, event follow-up, lead routing). You will continually look for opportunities to templatise and automate repeat work so the team can move faster without sacrificing quality.
• Consistent standards across campaigns – you will be the team's champion for campaign hygiene: UTM tagging, campaign naming conventions, folder structures, program/channel mapping in CRM, list and segmentation hygiene, and lead source attribution. You will document these standards, embed them in templates, coach other marketers using the platform, and review work in flight to keep quality high and reporting trustworthy.
• Tactical CRM & campaign reporting – you will support campaign reporting in Marketo for live campaigns — campaign member status, lead flow, conversion rates, channel performance and pacing against target. You will build and maintain Marketo reports to surface issues early (e.g. drop-offs, sync failures, attribution gaps), connect campaign performance back to pipeline contribution, and feed insight back into campaign optimisation — delivering high-quality output within agreed time and budget.
• Demandbase-enabled campaign optimisation – you will use Demandbase to review Marketo campaigns, using intent data and ABM performance insights to help identify opportunities to improve targeting, audience segmentation and campaign follow-up. You will build familiarity with the platform through day-to-day use, and support colleagues with questions.
• Supporting the Consultant & wider team – you will support the Campaign Operations Consultant on larger campaign initiatives such as Rising, take ownership of clearly-scoped workstreams, and act as a peer reviewer for other marketers' campaign builds. You will help build the campaign knowledge base, contribute to enablement sessions on Marketo and CRM best practice, and accelerate inbound lead handling where needed.
• Working as part of a team – you will work proactively as part of the Workday Product Marketing Operations team to deliver against OKRs, build strong relationships across BU marketing teams, and role-model the standards you ask others to follow.
Minimum (essential) requirements:
Solid experience in marketing operations or digital marketing, with hands-on campaign build experience in a marketing automation platform
Demonstrable experience building Marketo programmes, smart campaigns, landing pages, forms and nurture flows
Strong attention to detail and a track record of high build quality, QA discipline and "right-first-time" delivery
Good working knowledge of CRM (ideally MS Dynamics)
Relevant marketing qualifications (e.g. CIM) or equivalent experience
Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coach peers on best practice
Desirable:
Marketo Certified Associate (or strong hands-on Marketo experience and willingness to certify)
Experience working with AI and agents
Knowledge of lead generation best practice in a SaaS environment.
Confident applying and enforcing campaign standards — UTM tagging, naming conventions, list hygiene, channel mapping
