Find Your Role 

Getting the details right can have a surprisingly big impact, as you'll soon realise when you join our team. In this incredibly fast moving and ever-changing environment, you'll discover exactly how much the little things matter.  

A career in Buying offers exciting opportunities to shape the products our customers see every day.

On our 2 year Buying Graduate Programme, you’ll rotate across different categories, gaining hands-on experience in: 

  • Range planning and development 

  • Supplier negotiations and relationship management 

  • Sales tracking and performance analysis 

  • Promotional planning and execution 

  • Competitor and market research 

  • Product lifecycle management 

From day one, you’ll support Buyers in making commercial decisions, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring product availability. You’ll be involved in everything from line listing and cost/retail changes to resolving store and supplier queries. 

You’ll also contribute to promotional strategies, raise and reconcile invoices, and help shape category performance through data-driven insights.

If you are successful at each stage, you will progress to the next. This will include: 

  • A short, blended personality and numerical assessment 

  • Three, quick video interview questions 

  • A half-day assessment centre, where you will meet the team and find out more about the programme. 

If you are successful, we will ask you to come and join ASDA in September 2026.
