Mō te tūranga | About the Role

Reporting to the Area Manager our ideal candidate is someone that genuinely enjoys helping customers and has a track record for delivering excellent service. 

This role involves assisting business customers with requests such as home lending, business lending, equipment finance and credit cards. You will also contribute to customer retention by proactively contacting customers in response to needs based leads. Working closely with internal business partners across Westpac you will take ownership of ensuring business customers get the support they need, when they need it.

  • We are looking for people passionate about delivering top notch service to business customers

  • Strong understanding of Credit Risk and prior Credit Analysis experience

  • Business/Commercial lending experience is required

  • An interest in learning about business lending and a desire to pursue a career in Business Banking are essential

  • Most of the customer interactions in the Business team occur via phone or email so you will need excellent verbal and oral communication skills and be able to represent the business unit in a friendly and professional manner

  • If you are someone that uses your initiative, takes ownership for always delivering what is promised and has a willingness to learn then we look forward to receiving your application

  • Some form of tertiary qualification in Finance / Accounting is preferred.
