ABOUT OVERVIEW.AI

Overview.ai is bringing cutting edge AI computer vision to manufacturing, solving inspection problems that were impossible with traditional machine vision. We're a full stack company: we deploy GPU powered cameras on production lines, run inference on the edge, and operate a fleet platform that manages devices deployed worldwide.

Why this matters: Unlike legacy vision systems that fail in real world conditions, our platform actually works in production. High accuracy. Fast deployment. An operator friendly experience that makes real factory rollouts possible, not just pilots.

The proof: We grew about 700% last year, tripled our headcount, and are scaling across North America with growing demand in LATAM.

WHY WE'RE HIRING A BDR NOW

We've nailed product market fit in North America, and demand continues to accelerate across U.S. manufacturing. We need a BDR who understands how manufacturers operate, can identify real opportunities, and helps us expand our footprint across key industrial markets.

This isn't about first touch outreach. It's about finding actual manufacturing applications where our technology solves a concrete problem. Your job: uncover use cases, disqualify early when there's no real opportunity, and hand off qualified prospects to our Vision Sales Engineers for technical evaluation.

We're also looking for someone who builds. Our strongest BDRs see a gap in how the team works and build something to close it, usually with AI, without being asked.

Location: Open to candidates anywhere in the continental United States. Preferred locations: Columbus, OH; Nashville, TN; Raleigh, NC; Atlanta, GA; Detroit, MI.

HOW YOU'LL WORK
  • You'll own 10 to 15 key accounts and figure out how to get in front of them across multiple facilities, not just one plant.

  • You'll use AI daily. BDRs on our team have built account hubs that combine plants, contacts, deals, and call recordings in one place, shared reporting dashboards, and agents that prompt teammates when a HubSpot record is missing an owner.

  • What you build for yourself, we'll ask you to build for the team.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Identify and engage manufacturing prospects across the United States: automotive suppliers, electronics manufacturers, industrial OEMs, food and beverage manufacturers, and other high volume production environments. Use phone, email, LinkedIn, and creative outbound strategies.

  • Map the account. For each key account, understand its plants, what each one makes, and who the key stakeholders are, then plan how to expand from one facility to several.

  • Map the decision makers. For each target, find the Quality or Engineering owner (Quality Manager, Manufacturing Engineer, Operations Lead), locate them on LinkedIn, and craft tailored outreach based on inspection challenges we've solved for similar companies.

  • Lead with curiosity. Uncover the real blocker: Is it cost? Downtime? False positives in current systems? Get specific. Understand why inspection is hard for them.

  • Qualify ruthlessly. We measure you on quality of qualification, not activity. Bad meetings hurt the team. Good ones compound.

  • Partner with Vision Sales Engineers. When you've identified a genuine use case, hand off clean, actionable insights. Then stay in the loop to learn what worked and what didn't.

  • Keep HubSpot clean. Consistent data, clear activity logs, detailed notes.

  • Continuously refine. Test messaging. Track what resonates. Share learnings with the team.

  • Build. Find the manual, repetitive parts of prospecting, research, and reporting, and build tools, workflows, or agents that remove them.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FORRequired:
  • Prior outbound sales experience (BDR, SDR, inside sales, or equivalent)

  • Strong phone skills and outbound instincts

  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and figuring things out quickly

  • High curiosity and willingness to learn technical concepts

  • Ability to ask good questions and think critically about opportunity fit

  • Organized, reliable, and accountable

  • Based in the United States with strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Hands on use of AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, or similar) in your work, and examples of something you built with them

Nice to Have:
  • Manufacturing, SaaS, or technical sales background

  • Experience with HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, or Nooks

  • Basic understanding of production processes or quality control

  • Familiarity with U.S. industrial markets

  • Experience building automations, agents, or internal tools, even simple ones

HOW WE OPERATE
  • Quality over volume. You're measured on qualification quality, not activity.

  • Disqualify early. If there's no real opportunity, move on.

  • Clear handoff. Once you identify a meaningful use case, Vision Sales Engineers take it from there. You stay informed and learn from the outcome.

  • Tight feedback loops. You'll get clear feedback weekly, and we'll adjust based on what the market is telling us.

  • You have a voice. On a growing team, you have direct exposure to leadership and real input into our go to market strategy.

THE REALITY CHECK
  • Outbound is hard. You'll hear "no" more than "yes." That's not failure, that's the job.

  • You're remote. You need to be self directed, disciplined, and reliable.

  • We move fast. We iterate on messaging, territory, and strategy constantly, which requires adaptability.

  • Manufacturing is changing. There's a steep learning curve, but it's worth it.

WHY OVERVIEW.AI
  • A product that actually performs. Real factories, real production lines, real ROI for customers.

  • Explosive growth. You're helping expand our presence across some of the most important manufacturing markets in the United States.

  • Direct input on GTM strategy. Your insights shape how we position and sell.

  • Events. You may represent Overview at industry events.

  • Room to grow. Strong BDRs at high growth companies don't stay BDRs for long. We promote from within.

What you need to know about the Belfast Tech Scene

If asked to name the birthplace of the RMS Titanic, you might not say Belfast. Similarly, if asked to name Europe's leading destination for foreign direct investment in new software development, Belfast might not come to mind. Yet, both are true. The city has emerged as a tech powerhouse, recently ranked among the best in the U.K. for tech careers — especially for software developers. It also leads the U.K. with the highest percentage of software development jobs advertised.
