Team/Role Overview

The Apps Support Sr Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring the stability, reliability, and performance of Citi's application systems. As part of the Application Support team, the Sr Analyst is responsible for providing technical and operational support for complex applications, ensuring seamless functionality and minimizing downtime. This role involves close collaboration with development teams, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders to address issues, implement solutions, and enhance system performance.

This role is essential for maintaining the operational integrity of Citi's applications and ensuring a seamless experience for users and stakeholders. The Apps Support Sr Analyst contributes to the team's success by driving technical excellence, fostering collaboration, and delivering reliable application services. This role requires good knowledge of python, shell scripts and SQL.

What you’ll do

  • Incident Management: Proactively monitor application systems, troubleshoot issues, and resolve incidents to ensure minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Problem Management: Analyze recurring issues, identify root causes, and implement long-term solutions to improve system reliability.
  • Change Management: Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to plan, test, and deploy application changes while minimizing risks.
  • Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor application performance and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, providing timely updates and ensuring alignment on priorities.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of application systems, processes, and resolutions to support knowledge sharing and compliance.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure adherence to Citi's policies, standards, and regulatory requirements in all aspects of application support.

What we’ll need from you

  • Effective communication skills to interact with technical teams and business stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes and best practices for incident, problem, and change management.
  • Experience in working with large-scale, complex systems in a financial services environment is preferred.
  • Good hands on with python, shell script and SQL
  • Automation skill set is also required
  • Knowledge of monitoring tools like ITRS GENEOS preferred.
  • Proven experience in an Application Support role.
  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
