About Axiom:

Axiom is where legal teams go to find the right talent for everything from routine in-house tasks to complex outside counsel work. Too many legal departments are stuck having to choose between paying the high fees of their law firm, hiring full-time employees they don’t need, or turning to a low-cost agency that can’t meet their quality standards. At the same time, top lawyers want to work on challenging legal matters, but they want more control over how, when, and where they practice. Both are forced compromises that no one should have to make. Axiom shares and meets the higher standards of its clients and lawyers, with our “work smarter, adapt faster, go further” approach – connecting growing mid-market and Fortune 500 companies with the world’s deepest bench of experienced, specialized legal talent.

About the role:

Axiom is hiring for a highly motivated, thoughtful Talent Acquisition Sourcing Specialist to support in the hiring of our ever-growing population of legal talent. A critical member of our wider Talent Acquisition team, the Sourcing Specialist will develop and implement creative sourcing strategies to deliver against our hiring needs, making a direct impact on the growth trajectory of our global company. This role would suit an agency recruiter looking for a more strategic position, or an in-house recruiter who is driven by growth and commercial impact.

The Sourcing Specialist will:

  • Partner cross functionally to understand the recruitment needs and legal practice areas across our global offices.
  • Develop and implement creative sourcing strategies to identify candidates and deliver against our hiring needs, in line with our diversity agenda (leveraging inbound, passive and active sources - including LinkedIn, networking, job boards, our applicant tracking system etc.).
  • Conduct initial screening calls with candidates, detailing Axiom’s value proposition and coaching candidates on what to expect throughout the entirety of the interview process (including interview path, compensation expectations, interviewer feedback, and timing).
  • Providing funnel and pipeline metrics, relevant industry research, and other data to offer transparency to recruiters around search processes and the talent market.
  • Promote engagement with the Axiom referral program and utilizing it in creative ways to build passive and active pipelines.
  • Complete market mapping and competitor analysis exercises to develop a better understanding our competition and perception in the market, using this information to inform future recruitment efforts.
  • Work with Talent leadership and analytics to design and implement strategies to develop candidate pools for future needs. Work on communication strategies to engage these networks.
  • Supporting special projects as needed, including talent brand initiatives and candidate experience initiatives.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years sourcing or recruiting experience within a recruiting agency/staffing firm or in-house for a company (legal recruitment experience highly desirable).
  • Ability to develop remote relationships with candidates
  • Strong, persuasive verbal and written communication skills.
  • Poise, confidence, and maturity to interact with senior level, highly experienced attorneys
  • Ability to work in a team environment, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, adapt quickly to changes and creatively problem solve
  • Proactive, pragmatic, practical and task focused
  • Highly organized and able to operate in a high pressure, fast-paced environment
  • Excellent systems skills including Outlook, Excel and Word.
  • Undergraduate degree required.
  • Legally eligible to work in the UK.

Accommodation for Individuals with Disabilities: Upon request and consistent with applicable laws, Axiom will attempt to provide reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities who require an accommodation to participate in the application process. What you need to know about the Belfast Tech Scene

If asked to name the birthplace of the RMS Titanic, you might not say Belfast. Similarly, if asked to name Europe's leading destination for foreign direct investment in new software development, Belfast might not come to mind. Yet, both are true. The city has emerged as a tech powerhouse, recently ranked among the best in the U.K. for tech careers — especially for software developers. It also leads the U.K. with the highest percentage of software development jobs advertised.
