Skillsoft is seeking an Account Executive Small Medium Businesses (SMB) to be responsible for proactively managing and expanding existing private sector accounts and generating new acquisition accounts though our extensive Technology & Developer (T&D) portfolio primarily focused on Virtual Instructor Led Training (VILT) complimented by our digital self paced eLearning portfolio including our Percipio Learning Experience Platform (LXP) and it's associated T&D Codecademy solution to deliver blended learning solutions.

Your customer base exists of customers up to 1.500 employees. You are result-oriented and you get satisfaction from achieving and exceeding targets. You may have the ambition to grow into a Enterprise sales position.

Position Responsibilities

  • Drive top-line revenue growth through expansion into your existing customer base and acqusition of new customers across our comprehensive portfolio of T&D solutions across your territory.
  • Sell our vast T&D solutions line directly to SMB L&D, HR and lT Departments.
  • Work alongside the entire UKI SMB and Enterprise private sector sales team.
  • Own responsibility to meet and exceed revenue & sales goals
  • Wín by representing a solution line with key competitive differentiators
  • lnfluence customers and prospects across L&D, HR and lT departments across all seniority levels of stakeholders.
  • Establish strategic plans and objectives to drive desired business growth and outcomes
  • Partner with other AE's, SME's and various other pre and post sales support resources in the successful advancement of critical
    opportunities and customer penetration.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of Global Knowledge Skillsofts sales plays related to Digital and Business transformation..

DesÍred Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years successful sales experience Ín lT sales in a growth, acquisition or hybrid capacity
  • Successfully delivered against annual targets / KPI's.
  • Experience selling directly into lT Departments is required (L&D / HR would also be advantageous)
  • A keen understanding of the steps involved ín a sales cycle and ability to
    leverage each stage to advance the sale
  • Ability to prospect and manage a designated territory to maximize revenue growth
  • Speaking the language of lT (L&D / HR would also be advantageous)
  • Ability to operate with a sense of urgency, be aggressive, competitive, and demonstrate a positive,
    winning attitude
  • Negotiate effectively based on value and time to close
  • Ability to understand client requirements and to clearly articulate the company's offerings to develop
    solutions to meet those requirements

Required Attributes:

  • Minimum 2 years of B2B sales experience within the lT or training industry preferred
  • College Degree or equivalent in education/experience 
  • A passion for Technology and for supporting customers to achieve their business objectives
  • Growth of existing customers and Acquisition of new customers sales experience preferred
  • Ability to follow established processes and provide constructive feedback on processes
  • Exhibits strong prospecting skills, growth and hunter mentality
  • Ability to cultivate prospects

  • Easily handles objections and rejections
  • Strategy development and execution
  • Adaptability, being able to focus on what matters to the customer
