Role Overview And Core Responsibilities

This role acts as a key commercial partner and trusted advisor within the Client Success Team (Account Executive I) and is responsible for driving new business acquisition, expanding revenue, and accelerating pipeline growth through proactive, solution‑led selling.

The role partners and collaborates with stakeholders across Product, Marketing, Sales Enablement, Finance, Legal, Operations, and Client Implementation to deliver integrated go‑to‑market execution and superior client outcomes.

The Account Executive I will lead end‑to‑end sales cycles, penetrate new markets and accounts, contribute to go‑to‑market initiatives, and support the launch and adoption of TransUnion’s data, analytics, and risk solutions.

This role is primarily remote; however, in‑person attendance at an assigned TransUnion office location may be required from time to time to support business needs.

  • Proactively prospect, qualify, and close new business opportunities to achieve assigned revenue and pipeline targets.
  • Build and maintain a robust, forward‑looking sales pipeline, ensuring adequate coverage, accurate staging, and conversion discipline within Salesforce.
  • Execute high‑volume outbound prospecting, including cold calling up to 20 leads per day within defined business verticals to generate qualified pipeline.
  • Plan, manage, and sell into Tier 3–4 accounts within an assigned territory, with a strong focus on new logo acquisition and account expansion.
  • Conduct structured discovery conversations to identify client business issues (CBIs) and uncover whitespace opportunities aligned to client KPIs.
  • Own the end‑to‑end sales cycle, including proposal development, pricing justification, negotiation, deal closure, and handover to post‑sale teams.
  • Prospect continuously and devise creative, data‑driven approaches to build and expand a personal book of business beyond inbound demand.
  • Leverage AI‑enabled sales tools and insights (e.g., Copilot) to prepare for client engagements, sharpen messaging, analyze industries and competitors, and improve speed and quality of follow‑up.
  • Develop and maintain deep knowledge of TransUnion’s data, analytics, and risk solutions, positioning them effectively against competitive alternatives.
  • Monitor and stay current on industry, market, and competitor trends to anticipate client needs and proactively propose relevant solutions.
  • Forecast revenue monthly with discipline, proactively identifying risks and opportunities and adjusting sales activity accordingly.

Required Knowledge And Experiences

Qualifications and Education:

  • 2–4 years of proven B2B sales experience, consistently exceeding quota and revenue targets in a target‑driven, outbound or hunter‑oriented environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree required (Business, Marketing, Finance, or related field preferred).
  • Demonstrated understanding of data, analytics, and information services supporting financial services, retail, legal, investigative, insurance, and collections sectors.
  • Proven experience in new business acquisition, prospecting, pipeline creation, and deal closure.
  • Experience leading or supporting end‑to‑end sales cycles, including proposals, pricing discussions, negotiations, and forecasting.
  • Ability and expectation to develop subject‑matter expertise in TransUnion’s risk and analytics solutions to support credible, consultative, value‑based sales conversations.
  • Strong understanding of consultative, value‑based selling, with the ability to link solutions to client KPIs and measurable ROI.
  • Working knowledge of CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) with demonstrable pipeline hygiene and forecast accuracy.
