Plans and delivers professional events ranging from C-suite roundtables to large conference-style gatherings. The role coordinates event delivery, manages multiple stakeholders, builds cross-organizational relationships, and balances detailed planning with prioritization and deadline management. It is a hands-on leadership position within FinTech Scotland’s cluster organization, with an emphasis on successful event execution and collaboration across financial services, technology, professional services, academic, and public-sector partners.

Conduct research into volcanic debris avalanches and granular heating. Analyze geological samples and field datasets, perform grain-size and mechanical characterization, interpret photogrammetric and geological data, run high-pressure shear-cell experiments, develop discrete-element simulations, and contribute to depth-averaged debris-avalanche models. The role includes publishing research, presenting at conferences, co-supervising students, and collaborating internationally.

Conduct interdisciplinary neuroscience research using iPSC-derived microglia, neurons, and 3D organoids to investigate sex differences in brain development and early-life infection. The role involves applying stem cell culture, molecular biology, and microscopy techniques, organizing research activities, communicating findings, critically evaluating results, and working independently and collaboratively within the Sullivan/Chandran labs.
