Supports the Research Accountant by preparing detailed financial award reconciliations for legacy research grants, helping resolve ledger issues, complete financial closure, and implement remedial actions. It is an 18-month, full-time position with hybrid working opportunities at the University of Edinburgh.

Provides financial administration and reporting for funded research projects, monitors budgets, advises Principal Investigators on funder terms and conditions, and organizes research events. The role requires strong numeracy, accuracy, communication, organization, customer service, and prioritization skills. It is a full-time, 36-month fixed-term position with at least three days per week on campus.

Prepares and audits statutory financial statements, manages complex balance sheet reconciliations, oversees month-end and year-end accounting processes, and supports financial reporting and control across the University. The role also provides guidance on accounting policies, collaborates with internal and external stakeholders, and ensures consistent financial control and compliance.
