The role develops long-term plans to sustain, scale and spread research findings; builds senior relationships with government, regulators, providers and professional bodies; coordinates policy, engagement and outreach activities; contributes to media and policy influence; supports strategic options appraisal; and ensures work is co-produced with people drawing on care, carers and sector partners.

Provides care, supervision, and stimulating play experiences for children aged six weeks to four years. Duties include supporting learning and development under the Early Years Foundation Stage, safeguarding children, recording observations, communicating with parents, feeding, nappy changing, hygiene, activity supervision, positive behavior management, and maintaining a safe nursery environment. Develop and maintain secure, accessible, responsive web applications across the front end and back end. Collaborate with UX designers, product owners, developers, and stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle. Write tested, maintainable code; participate in code reviews, usability testing, deployments, and production support. Work within an Agile Scrum team using GitHub, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines while contributing to continuous improvement and user-centred digital products.

Provides strategic and intellectual leadership in Statistics and Data Science; develops research-led degree programmes, strengthens research and funding portfolios, supervises and mentors colleagues, builds interdisciplinary collaborations, secures external funding, and engages with professional, policy, practice, and industry stakeholders.

Leads SEND and inclusion provision across university nurseries, supporting early identification, intervention, safeguarding, and equitable participation. The role coordinates funding and EHCP-related processes, maintains records and reports, advises practitioners, supports transitions, delivers training and parent workshops, and collaborates with families, local authorities, schools, and external professionals. The post holder also directly manages a small team and helps embed inclusive practice across nursery policies, curricula, and daily operations.

Deliver a diverse programme of in-person and online events for alumni, donors, volunteers, academics, staff, students, and VIPs. Responsibilities include event planning from conception through evaluation, venue and speaker coordination, invitations, website updates, budgets, registrations, briefings, stakeholder engagement, communications, CRM reporting, and event performance analysis. The role also supports high-profile events and develops the university’s global alumni engagement programme.

Develop and deliver business engagement strategy, build and manage external partnerships and funding opportunities, support internal stakeholders to operationalise collaborations, maintain CRM records, and drive income and impact through strategic planning and stakeholder engagement across the University.
