Designs, develops, and operationalizes large-scale backend, API, graph, AI, and machine learning solutions. Responsibilities include technical leadership, cloud-native architecture, roadmap development, testing, code reviews, mentoring, recruitment, stakeholder communication, and improving engineering processes. The role requires extensive Java and Spring experience, AWS cloud development, RESTful APIs, stream processing, low-latency applications, generative and agentic AI, and strong software delivery practices.

Partners with sales and customer-facing teams to sell Provenir’s risk-decisioning platform. Conducts customer discovery, delivers tailored demonstrations, presents solution value, supports RFPs, and leads design and architecture workshops. Advises clients on credit risk, fraud prevention, and financial crime detection while aligning AI/ML capabilities with business needs. Maintains demonstration environments, supports webinars and thought leadership, coordinates solution handoffs to Professional Services, and shares customer insights with Product and internal teams.

Own and prioritise the platform product backlog, work with remote engineering to refine stories and unblock delivery, shape roadmap with leadership, gather and validate requirements with stakeholders/customers, write user stories and acceptance criteria, and balance features, technical debt and operational stability while understanding APIs, data models and integrations.
