Leads and develops the Software Engineering team, overseeing people management, engineering operations, releases, production incidents, code quality, governance, technical investigations, SQL data work, and technical stakeholder collaboration. The role provides technical direction, supports delivery planning, reduces technical debt, promotes engineering standards, and drives continuous improvement across software development practices.

Lead the testing and quality assurance function across software delivery. Define testing strategies and standards, oversee planning and execution, improve automation and CI/CD integration, manage quality risks and defects, report quality metrics, and ensure release readiness. Lead, coach, and develop the testing team while collaborating with engineering, product, delivery, business, and technical stakeholders to embed quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

Design, develop and maintain security automation workflows and playbooks to improve SOC detection, triage, enrichment and response. Build integrations with SIEM, SOAR, EDR, cloud platforms and APIs, implement AI-enhanced automation, produce documentation and runbooks, monitor performance, and support SOC teams and standards.

Design, implement and support Microsoft Azure infrastructure solutions across customer engagements. Deliver migrations, configure networking/security (VPN, ExpressRoute, Firewall, Entra ID, RBAC, PIM), apply governance, automate with PowerShell and Terraform/Bicep, troubleshoot hybrid connectivity, produce documentation, and participate in customer workshops and handovers.

Lead design and implement Microsoft Purview and related cloud security solutions. Run scoping and design workshops, produce SOWs and technical documentation, collaborate with project management to meet milestones, and diagnose and resolve customer technical issues.

Lead discovery, design and delivery of data modernisation and migration projects. Design data lakes/warehouses/lakehouses and landing zones, advise on data strategy, governance and quality, implement Microsoft/Azure and Databricks platforms, support AI/ML initiatives, run workshops, produce technical documentation, contribute reusable assets, and support pre-sales and practice development.
