Collaborate with application, infrastructure, product, and service teams while providing documentation and knowledge transfer. The role requires experience with observability tools, application instrumentation, infrastructure, databases, APIs, and automation.

Deliver interaction design across a substantial GDS project in a multidisciplinary team. Create user journeys, wireframes, prototypes, and usability testing outputs while applying accessibility standards. Collaborate in an Agile environment on complex, sensitive public-service problems, using Figma, GOV.UK and NHS prototyping toolkits, HTML-based prototyping, and Heroku.

Designs scalable, secure technical architectures for corporate platforms and customer-facing services across on-premise, data centre, and public cloud environments. Evaluates options, supports delivery teams through implementation, participates in architecture reviews, presents designs to assurance boards, contributes to technology roadmaps, and collaborates with security specialists. The role requires strong infrastructure, platform, cloud, compute, networking, storage, virtualization, communication, and technical design skills.

Provide Oracle database and application support across on-prem, private and public cloud environments: apply updates, install and troubleshoot software, monitor and resolve performance and backup issues, deploy Tomcat web apps, liaise with customers and IT teams, and drive automation and process improvements.

Lead deployment, configuration, and optimisation of enterprise software for customers. Own and operate cloud infrastructure (primarily AWS) using Infrastructure as Code. Maintain and improve Terraform estates, manage Kubernetes and ArgoCD production workloads, keep CI/CD pipelines reliable, automate with Python/Bash, monitor performance, troubleshoot incidents, and collaborate with teams to deliver secure, scalable public-sector services.
