Lead and coordinate habitation trade activities for shipbuilding projects: manage resources, budgets, schedules and subcontractors; ensure HSE and quality compliance; provide technical support, develop procedures, and drive continuous improvement and training.

Perform manual and machine steel fabrication and assembly for naval, marine and repair projects. Read drawings, set-out, cut and fabricate plate and profiles, erect and tack assemblies, operate fabrication machinery and shop cranes, and follow safety and quality procedures.

Maintain and validate WBS in SAP-PS, integrate cost and schedule data, support monthly EVM reporting, manage SAP PS data updates, support audits and governance, analyse cost performance and recommend corrective actions, and collaborate with Planning, Finance, Engineering and PMO.

Supervise, coach and assess apprentices and trainees in mechanical engineering within shipbuilding. Allocate work, maintain training records, ensure safety compliance, liaise with stakeholders, and promote continuous improvement and quality across departments.

Provide administrative support for production operations: maintain records of materials, equipment and workforce; input and manage data in ERP and planners; produce KPIs and reports; assist with quality, audits, Health & Safety documentation, scheduling, minutes, resource tracking, inventory monitoring, shift coordination, and resolving on‑the‑ground production issues.

Lead and mature a multi-site Project Controls function delivering integrated cost, schedule, risk, EVMS and change control. Establish governance, produce executive reporting, manage forecasts/EACs, embed risk management and drive digital improvement across shipyards and delivery partners.

Provide administrative support for central stores and procurement: process goods in/out, maintain inventory and SAP data, run reports, assist stock counts and audits, raise supplier NCRs, upload timesheets, support procurement PRs and vending administration, and liaise with Finance, Procurement, Warehouse and suppliers.

Manage procurement of materials, equipment, and services for shipbuilding projects. Oversee contracts and suppliers, negotiate terms, control costs, mitigate supply‑chain risk, forecast material needs, process purchase orders, track shipments, manage inventory, perform supplier performance reviews, and mentor Buyers to improve procurement practices and ensure compliance.

Lead and manage the shipyard Electrical area, supporting the Electrical Manager on resource, budget, schedule and quality control. Provide technical support for electrical design, fabrication and installation in naval/marine projects, ensure HSE and QMS compliance, coordinate subcontractors, and drive continuous improvement and training.

Paid 6-week undergraduate internship supporting Social Values team. Design and deliver 3–4 workshops and a hands-on engineering activity for KS3/KS4 and adult groups, liaise with subject experts, deliver a workshop, and produce a short report on findings.
