Manage a portfolio of complex insurance claims for Camden Council, supporting internal and external customers. Provide insurance and risk management advice, promote risk-informed decisions, investigate claims, negotiate settlements, prepare reports, and maintain stakeholder relationships. The role also supports insurance service development, leads projects when requested, and deputises for senior insurance colleagues and the Insurance Manager.

Leads major and complex planning applications, enforcement projects, and appeals for Camden. Negotiates strategic benefits, mentors planners, and deputizes for senior development management leadership. The role requires managing a high caseload, applying planning law and the London planning system, making effective decisions, and delivering high-quality developments in complex political and community contexts. Recognised RTPI qualification and local government planning experience are essential.

Manage Business Rates and Business Improvement District Levy accounts, ensuring effective billing, collection, and recovery. Respond to customer correspondence and telephone queries, develop recovery actions, and represent the Council at Magistrates Court and High Court hearings. The role requires analytical and communication skills, knowledge of IT applications, stakeholder management, compliance with data protection and financial standards, and initiative to improve processes and systems.
