Set long-term technical strategy for backend identity systems, lead major distributed-system initiatives, ensure operational availability, establish engineering quality standards, collaborate cross-functionally, and mentor engineers. Build and launch highly available systems supporting international expansion, KYC verification, identity data management, decisioning, regulatory compliance, and global risk models.

Lead UK financial crime and AML compliance as designated MLRO (SMF17), oversee second-line controls (onboarding, monitoring, investigations, sanctions), execute BWRA and CMP, manage issue remediation, prepare MLRO reporting, support audits and regulator interactions, and partner with Legal and global teams to maintain and improve the UK control framework.

Leads Affirm’s UK and European enterprise sales business, managing senior Account Executives and strategic merchant relationships. Owns regional go-to-market strategy, executive negotiations, complex deal execution, pipeline rigor, hiring, coaching, and cross-functional delivery from contract signature through launch and expansion. Builds scalable sales processes, influences commercial strategy, drives performance, and represents Affirm at industry events. Regular travel is required for executive engagements, deal acceleration, and team planning.
