We seek a highly motivated and skilled Workload Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team.  The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in optimizing and automating our operational processes, driving efficiency, and ensuring seamless workflow management. As a Workload Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing workload automation processes using industry-leading tools like Control-M and Automic, that streamline workloads and enhance overall productivity. 

Your expertise will be essential in identifying bottlenecks and providing innovative solutions to improve application performance and job scheduling. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements, assess workload demands, and develop tailored automation strategies that align with organizational goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement complex workload automation solutions using Control-M and/or Automic WLA.
  • Create and maintain job scheduling definitions, dependencies, and calendars.
  • Monitor and manage automated workflows to ensure reliability and performance.
  • Develop and maintain scripts (e.g., shell, Python, PowerShell) for automating tasks and processes.
  • Integrate workload automation tools with various applications and databases.
  • Collaborate with application teams to gather requirements for automation needs.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to job executions and scheduling.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for workflows and automation processes.
  • Evaluate and recommend new workload automation tools and technologies.
  • Perform regular maintenance and updates to existing automation frameworks.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in workload automation and job scheduling tools such as Control-M, AutoSys, Automic, or similar.
  • Strong scripting skills (shell, Python, PowerShell, etc.).
  • Experience with database systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, Postgre).
  • Experience with operating systems (e.g., Linux, Windows)
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) is a plus.
  • Experience with monitoring tools and performance tuning.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
