About this role
This role sits within Preqin, a part of BlackRock. Preqin plays a key role in how we are revolutionizing private markets data and technology for clients globally, complementing our existing Aladdin technology platform to deliver investment solutions for the whole portfolio.
Preqin is looking for a skilled Full Stack Developer to join our Belgrade Engineering Team. In this role, you’ll help design, build, and run Preqin Pro, Preqin’s flagship application used by clients globally. You’ll collaborate with a high-performing, international team and work across both the technical and functional layers of the product in a fast-growing Private Markets environment.
You’ll contribute to delivering scalable, cloud-first solutions using modern engineering practices and technologies including .NET 8 / .NET 10, React/TypeScript, microservices, gRPC, and Azure services.

Python: nice to have (experience welcomed, but not required)
ResponsibilitiesBuild new features end-to-end, from concept through production deployment
Take ownership of key parts of a SaaS product, including production monitoring and incident resolution in the cloud
Apply information security practices throughout design and delivery
Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering ways of working (CI/CD, automated testing, best practices)
Collaborate with a talented, open-minded team with a strong innovation mindset
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Organizational Sciences, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
5–10 years of experience in backend development (.NET 8 / .NET 10) and frontend development with modern frameworks (React/TypeScript)
Strong understanding of OOP concepts and best practices
Experience building and consuming APIs using gRPC and/or REST
Solid understanding of microservices architecture and development
Strong understanding of containerisation and deploying cloud-native applications
Fluent English (written and spoken)
Ability to navigate and understand an existing codebase
Interest in the functional side of the product; finance industry knowledge is a plus
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; proactive and able to handle multiple workstreams
Python experience
Experience in FinTech
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
