The primary focus is to equip the team to create the marketing transformation objectives in our annual plan including delivering compelling ROI from all our investments.
Marketing Technology Platform Configuration: With the strategy in place, the role will also have responsibility for setting up the core components to implement this – e.g. lead and opportunity scoring, contactability thresholds, lead flows to stakeholders and handoffs across the organisation
Marketing Campaign Insights and Orchestration: Within marketing, the team need deep insights into the performance of campaigns, including attributing the performance of different tactics and channels to inform and build a data-led set of best practices to inform campaign activities and investments for future work. In addition, the role will act as “air traffic control” to align overall marketing calendars and maximise impact by minimising any overlaps of in-market activities.
Drive Insights and Performance Analysis for Stakeholders: Create an effective catalogue of dashboards/reports to enable 360 analysis of our marketing performance, ensuring key stakeholders (e.g. product leaders, RevOps, sales, senior leadership, finance) can quickly and easily assess the impact of the work the marketing team is leading. A key focus is to deliver account-level insights in addition to contact insights to align with sales on opportunity development and actions.
Align with key stakeholders in Sales: Ensure all teams (SDR, Field Sales and marketing) align on overall funnel management, qualification criteria, SLA between the organisations and terminology. Conduct regular reviews to drive close attention to MQA/MQL flow, pickup and feedback on activities. With RevOps colleagues, share key insights with CMO and CRO and recommendations for improvement.
Budget management and Impact Analysis: With the CMO of the business unit, oversee all marketing investments to ensure effective spending across the team and provide independent analysis of campaign effectiveness, marketing ROI and recommend optimal GTM activities grounded in strong analytics and data. Own the key relationships with finance to ensure marketing budget is optimally set at the start of the year, hold peers to account for utilisation and impact and that additional in-year requests are properly crafted.
Putting people first & developing others: As the marketing team develops, you’ll manage, coach and develop several staff, with a focus on managing employee performance and assisting in their career development, supporting a culture of wellbeing and inclusion. This role will also require close management of a number of key vendor relationships, particularly around the Marketing Technology platforms. You’ll be expected to ensure these vendors deliver on time and to budget and we can consistently show strong impact from their work, and escalate where necessary if issues emerge.
