About the Role
Fundamental Equities, part of BlackRock’s Portfolio Management Group, manages $296bn across 17 teams and 220+ professionals. Our Core Product Strategy team in Budapest acts as an innovation hub, creating marketing materials, presentations, and client responses while driving commercial growth and technology enablement.
This fixed-term role (1.5 years) is designed for a Vice President who will drive strategic initiatives at the intersection of commercial growth and technology enablement, gain exposure to senior leaders across Fundamental Equities, and play a key role in shaping the operating model for FE Product Strategy. The successful candidate will translate business objectives into actionable technology projects, deliver commercial outcomes, and foster innovation across global Product Strategy teams.
Role Profile
Key Responsibilities:
Lead cross-functional commercial and technology projects, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives.
Champion the adoption of cutting-edge technology and data analytics to enhance client reporting and support decision-making.
Facilitate forums to surface and scale promising tools and evaluate their impact (ROI)
Partner laterally with PMG PS, PAG and DS&S to identify shared challenges, co-develop solutions, and align best practices.
Partner with Product Strategy teams globally to coordinate hiring for Core PS, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and talent needs.
Promote a strong, inclusive culture across FE CorePS locations, possibly including indirect reporting lines, to foster unity and shared ownership.
Stay abreast of global market trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies to inform strategy and execution.
You should have:
5+ years of experience within financial services, ideally with equity markets exposure.
Proven track record of project management experience.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to bridge technical and non-technical audiences.
Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications. Familiarity with PowerBI and Microsoft Power Platform is a plus.
Strong data management and manipulation skills; Experience with Python or R programming language is a plus.
Equally passionate about technical excellence and team enablement, proactive, problem-solving attitude supported by the ability to effectively combine outputs from different sources of technology/systems -you design with both scale and accessibility in mind.
Interest in global financial markets; be up to date on macro events and market trends; A desire to pursue CFA, FRM and/or CAIA is welcome.
