Vice President and General Manager, APAC
Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Vice President and General Manager, APAC to lead all commercial operations across the Asia-Pacific region. This executive-level position is responsible for driving revenue growth across direct and indirect sales channels, overseeing regional and field marketing, building and executing go-to-market strategies, and expanding our reach into emerging verticals including biopharma, clinical, and service provider markets.
The ideal candidate has a proven track record of sales leadership in Life Sciences or high-tech sectors, with deep experience in complex, multi-country operations. This role requires strong operational rigor, market insight, and customer intimacy, along with a demonstrated ability to forecast accurately, scale teams, and penetrate new market segments beyond core research.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own full revenue responsibility for the APAC region across direct sales, channel partners, and distribution.
- Develop and execute the regional go-to-market (GTM) strategy in alignment with global sales objectives.
- Lead and manage high-performing sales, field marketing, and pre/post-sales teams across key countries in APAC.
- Design and implement vertical strategies to accelerate growth in biopharma, clinical, and service provider segments.
- Deliver accurate and reliable sales forecasts and drive consistent overachievement of regional targets.
- Expand our customer footprint in both existing and new market segments through direct and indirect engagement models.
- Foster deep collaboration with marketing, product management, R&D, finance, HR, and supply chain to ensure commercial success.
- Drive distributor and partner performance with clear KPIs and joint business planning.
- Provide strong people leadership: recruit, coach, develop, and retain top commercial talent across APAC.
- Represent the company at regional events, conferences, and in strategic customer engagements.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years of leadership experience in Life Sciences or high-technology sales, including full P&L or general management responsibility.
- Prior experience managing complex, multi-country sales teams in APAC.
- Demonstrated success in building and scaling regional teams, entering new markets, and exceeding aggressive revenue goals.
- Proven ability to deliver accurate sales forecasts, scale operations, and open new verticals beyond research.
- Outstanding cross-functional collaboration skills, especially with marketing, finance, R&D, and supply chain.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and executive presence.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in one or more Asian languages is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively across the APAC region.
Preferred Experience:
- Strong preference for candidates with clinical diagnostics or next-generation sequencing (NGS) experience.
- Deep customer and partner relationships across the APAC Life Sciences ecosystem.

Salary Range:
