TransUnion is seeking a strategic, technically fluent, and visionary
UX Journey Researcher of Technical Product Management to lead the evolution of our OneTru Solutions Platform—a transformative enablement platform that unifies data, identity, and insights across credit risk, marketing, and fraud prevention. OneTru serves as the connective tissue of our business, integrating disparate data and analytics assets into a cohesive, scalable, and intelligent ecosystem.
In this role, you will bridge end users' workflows with business strategy & technical execution, working across organizational boundaries to deliver a connected, future-ready platform. You will lead workflow discovery and persona-based experience prototypes across teams to help with adoption of our integrated platform, OneTru. This role will be central to driving clarity, usability, and relevance of the platform by embedding deeply into team operations and translating real-world usage into actionable product direction. You will partner closely with Product, Engineering, and functional teams like DSA, Go-to-Market teams and operations to define seamless workflows and internal user journeys, ensuring speed-to-market without compromising long-term architectural integrity.
What You'll Bring:
10+ years in technology and analytics consulting, user research, business process design, or workflow consulting within enterprise technology environments.
Demonstrated success in leading the development and launch of data-driven products from concept to market.
Proven ability to map and synthesize complex workflows into clear, actionable journeys and requirements.
Proven ability to design user experiences and prototypes to translate simplified user journeys.
Deep empathy for internal users like operations, integration and analysts with the ability to translate their needs into plain-English narratives.
Experience collaborating with product and engineering to define MVPs and target states based on journey maps.
Solid understanding of data analytics, machine learning, applied AI, statistical modeling techniques, and levels of technical fluency.
Experience with credit and non-credit data products, including familiarity with FCRA and related regulatory frameworks.
Excellent visual communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical audiences.
Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, agile, and startup-like environment with a bias for action.
Experience applying user-centric design principles to create intuitive and impactful product experiences.
Skilled in developing MVPs and prototypes to test, validate, and iterate product concepts quickly.

Cross-Functional Partnership: Drive alignment across Engineering, Data Science, Architecture, and Go-to-Market teams to translate complex business needs into scalable, user-centric platform experiences.
Product Innovation & Enablement: Lead the design and evolution of platform capabilities that accelerate solution development in domains such as credit risk, marketing, and fraud prevention—balancing short-term delivery with long-term strategic vision.
User Journey Research & Mapping: Conduct discovery interviews, shadowing sessions, and workflow analyses across internal and external personas to identify friction points, unmet needs, and opportunities for value creation. Develop and maintain current-state and future-state journey maps for delivery, fulfillment, and analytics workflows.
Experience Design Leadership: Champion a customer-back mindset by collaborating with UX designers to create intuitive, accessible, and scalable experiences. Guide the development of UI designs that align with future-state journeys and drive long-term adoption.
AI/ML Integration: Partner with Data Science teams to embed AI and machine learning into platform features, enhancing automation, decision intelligence, and user personalization.
Platform Strategy & Roadmap Influence: Identify capability gaps within the OneTru platform and collaborate with product teams to shape roadmap priorities. Advocate for enhancements that improve user experience with minimal disruption to operations.
Stakeholder Engagement & Feedback Loops: Engage internal stakeholders and end users to validate concepts, gather actionable feedback, and support go-to-market strategies. Serve as the voice of the user in platform planning and delivery forums.
Workflow Optimization & Change Management: Recommend and document workflow improvements that streamline operations and reduce complexity. Influence requirement shaping to minimize rework and ensure alignment with user needs.
Performance Measurement & Continuous Improvement: Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate product success, inform prioritization, and drive iterative enhancements across the user journey.
Consensus Building & Strategic Alignment: Facilitate alignment among UX, Architecture, and Product teams to ensure cohesive user journeys and consistent experience delivery across the platform.

This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.Benefits:

Pay Scale Information :The U.S. base salary range for this position is $126,700.00 - $190,000.00 annually. *The salary range for this position reflects a reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for this job. At TransUnion, actual compensation is based on careful consideration of additional factors such as (but not limited to) an individual’s education, training, work experience, job-related skill set, location, and industry knowledge, as well as the scope and responsibilities of the position and market considerations.Regular, fulltime non-sales positions may be eligible to participate in TransUnion’s annual bonus plan. Certain positions may be also eligible for long-term incentives and other payments based on applicable company guidance and plan documents.
