  • Innovation and Best Practices: Stay ahead of industry trends, continuously improving research methodologies and championing best practices in user research and healthcare innovation.
  • Metrics and Reporting: Define, track, and communicate user-centric KPIs and other performance metrics to measure success and guide future development.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams (product, engineering, and clinical) to ensure research findings are effectively integrated into product roadmaps.
  • Compliance and Ethics: Ensure all research activities comply with healthcare regulations and maintain the highest standards of data privacy and ethics.
  • Mentorship: Guide and mentor junior researchers, fostering a culture of collaboration, curiosity, and excellence in the research team.

Requirements
  • Experience and Expertise:
    • 5+ years of experience in user research, with at least 2 years in a healthcare-related field.
    • Deep understanding of healthcare professionals’ workflows and the unique challenges of designing for healthcare environments.
    • Proven experience working with EHR systems and other healthcare technologies.

What you need to know about the Belfast Tech Scene

If asked to name the birthplace of the RMS Titanic, you might not say Belfast. Similarly, if asked to name Europe's leading destination for foreign direct investment in new software development, Belfast might not come to mind. Yet, both are true. The city has emerged as a tech powerhouse, recently ranked among the best in the U.K. for tech careers — especially for software developers. It also leads the U.K. with the highest percentage of software development jobs advertised.
