The Chief Risk Office function has Group-wide responsibility for the management and control of all credit, market, operational, enterprise and liquidity risks and has the responsibility of continual development of methods for risk measurement, frameworks and creating a bank wide strong risk culture. As a second line of defense function, Non-Financial Risk Management (NFRM) is responsible for oversight across all aspects of non-financial risk (NFR), including risk identification and assessment, control framework, risk appetite and scenario analysis. The purpose of the NFRM function is to ensure that the banks Non-Financial Risk exposure is adequately managed in-line with the group wide risk appetite and NFRM framework.

Your key responsibilities

  • Contributing to reporting on the risk profile and risk appetite at Group, Division, Regional, Country & Legal Entity level; prepare material for Business Partner meetings and other governance fora 
  • Supporting analysis of Non-Financial risk levels and work with Divisions on any follow-ups
  • Representing NFRM at applicable committees
  • Supporting monitoring and identify strengths and weakness of 1st Line of Defence controls by performing structured controls testing against design and operating effectiveness
  • Supporting Thematic reviews, Lessons Learned, Read Across and Deep Dive activities
  • Contributing to Regulatory Responses and information requests

Your skills and experience

  • Good understanding of Investment Banking or Corporate Banking and the associate risks
  • Understanding of Non-Financial Risk Management principles and practices with relevant experience gained in first line risk & control role, second line risk function or Audit
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Tableau and or other reporting / visualization tools
  • Analytical thinking, relationship builder, attention to detail
  • Demonstrable experience of developing strong working relationships
  • Worked within a fast moving dynamic environment
