We are looking for someone to join the team that aligns perfectly with our organisation vision and values... if this sounds like you then keep reading!

Our Trip Leaders are the heartbeat of every Topdeck trip—the people who transform a group of strangers into a tight-knit travel family. With infectious energy, calm professionalism, and unstoppable passion, they guide our passengers through every laugh, detour, photo op, and unforgettable experience. Think educator, storyteller, planner, hype-person, and travel guru rolled into one.

The role will be contracted on a trip-by-trip basis of varying lengths.

What You’ll Do:

As a Topdeck Trip Leader, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of our trips:

  • Deliver engaging city and country introductions, including walking tours

  • Share insightful, culturally-rich storytelling that brings each destination to life

  • Navigate European cities and transport systems with ease

  • Liaise with suppliers, manage trip budgets, and communicate with Topdeck HQ

  • Be a support system for passengers—socially, personally, and logistically

  • Coordinate group activities and help passengers plan their free time

  • Manage incidents and unexpected challenges calmly and professionally

  • Create an inclusive, upbeat atmosphere where every passenger feels welcome

What We’re Looking For:

We’re after passionate, proactive leaders who:

  • Live and breathe travel, especially the buzz of European cities

  • Connect effortlessly, turning strangers into a close-knit family

  • Keep calm in chaos, balancing spontaneity with smart organisation

  • Communicate clearly, adapting to different people and situations

  • Tell stories that matter, bringing destinations to life with insight and flair

  • Stay professional under pressure, managing group dynamics with fairness and emotional intelligence

  • Lead with energy, warmth, and authenticity—even when plans change

Eligibility Criteria:

To apply, you must:

  • Hold a UK or EU passport

  • Have the legal right to work in the UK or EU (Note: We cannot accept UK Youth Mobility Visa holders)

  • Be available to attend on-road training during March/April 2026

  • Be available to work between May and October 2026

Skills & Experience:

  • Confident public speaker who thrives leading groups

  • Relevant life experience to navigate challenges on the road

  • Keen interest in European history and culture

  • Prior tour leading experience or extensive personal travel in Europe (a big plus)

  • Strong organisational and interpersonal skills

Global Touring Values:

Our values aren’t just words on a page. They’re the backbone; the steering wheel; the soundtrack to how we embrace each day. Like a well baked brownie, every ingredient combines to achieve the rich consistency fueling the soul of Global Touring.

Stay Curious:  We are natural born explorers. Our people question old solutions, apply alternative thinking and embrace being challenged in the search for outcomes. We’re excited by the journey on and off the road – expanding our knowledge, adapting to feedback and questioning the status quo. Value ideas over hierarchy. Have the courage to take risks. Don’t let perfection prevent growth.

Choose Transparency:  We take the right way, not the easy way. We’re straight up even through the toughest conversations; tackling challenges head-on and with integrity. Honour commitments. Communicate with clarity. And build relationships based on mutual respect. Forget hidden agendas, we treat everyone fairly – despite a preference for instant coffee.

Don’t pass the buck:  If we do it, we do it well. We are empowered to make decisions based on data and experience – holding each other accountable along the way. Spare the excuses. Be fearless in the pursuit of results. And take responsibility – even when no one’s looking. There will be bumps in the road; that’s ok. We own our mistakes and learn from the challenges as well as the successes.

Together we go further:  Across oceans and office desks, it’s more than a love for travel that keeps us connected. There are no silos here; we are each other’s toughest critics and loudest supporters – especially around the ping pong table. People with diverse backgrounds, different identities and varied experiences make our company exceptional. We embrace alternate perspectives, recognise each other’s strengths and champion collective genius.

What you need to know about the Belfast Tech Scene

If asked to name the birthplace of the RMS Titanic, you might not say Belfast. Similarly, if asked to name Europe's leading destination for foreign direct investment in new software development, Belfast might not come to mind. Yet, both are true. The city has emerged as a tech powerhouse, recently ranked among the best in the U.K. for tech careers — especially for software developers. It also leads the U.K. with the highest percentage of software development jobs advertised.
