About the Role

Level: 4

Location: Fully Remote

Department: Training & Development

Contract: Fixed Term Contract/ Secondment

Contract Duration: 12 months

The primary purpose of the T&D Consultant is to deliver induction (advice process), business submission, licencing and soft skills training to financial advisers within the QFP Network. You will also support the design and delivery of training interactions to support the development and knowledge of financial advisers.

Key Responsibilities and scope of role:

  • Support the onboarding of new advisers joining QFP through the delivery of induction and licencing training.
  • Deliver business submission webinars to advisers and the staff from AR firms to develop and improve the quality of case submissions to QFP
  • Design training interactions to improve adviser or AR firm knowledge or skills
  • Develop case studies and adviser knowledge tests
  • Assess the competence of advisers in role-plays and provide developmental feedback
  • Develop effective relationships within Quilter, AR Firms and Advisers.
  • Carry out and document a minimum of 35 hours relevant CPD per year.

Consumer Duty

Whilst this isn’t a directly customer facing role, the duties you will perform will contribute to the overall positive outcomes for our customers by ensuring that advisers follow the QFP advice process which is designed to meet the requirements of Consumer Duty.

Qualifications required:

  • Level 4 qualification in Financial Advice (required)
  • Level 3 qualification in Mortgage Advice (desirable)

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Training Delivery & Design: Experience of designing and delivering training programs, within the financial services sector to agree timescales
  • Coaching: Experience of developing financial advisers or financial services teams (e.g. – compliance or case checking)
  • Knowledge: In-depth understanding of financial services, including regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
  • Advice Process – A good understanding of the advice process, compliance and the soft skills required by a Financial Advisor.
  • Technology Proficiency: A good understanding of both Word, Excel, PowerPoint and experience of using training design tools and methodologies.
  • Adviser Point of Sale Systems: A knowledge of POS/CRM systems used by Advisers to support their advice.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adjust training methods to suit different learning styles and environments.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous in ensuring training materials are accurate.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
