Job Description
As a Regulatory Compliance Applications Support within the Regulatory Compliance Surveillance Application Support team, you will use both creative and critical thinking skills to maintain application systems that are crucial to the daily operations of the firm. You'll work collaboratively in teams on a wide range of projects based on your primary area of focus. While learning to fix application and data issues as they arise, you'll also gain exposure to software development, testing, deployment, maintenance, and improvement, in addition to production lifecycle methodologies and risk guidelines. Finally, you'll have the opportunity to develop professionally and to grow your career in any direction you choose.

As a Regulatory Compliance Applications Support within the Regulatory Compliance Surveillance Application Support team, you will use both creative and critical thinking skills to maintain application systems that are crucial to the daily operations of the firm. Job responsibilities:
- Engage in the management of incidents, problems, and changes to support full stack technology systems, applications, and infrastructure. Your role will involve identifying, analyzing, and resolving issues to ensure optimal performance and reliability across all technological components.
- Utilize APM tools such as GENEOS, Dynatrace, Grafana, Datadog, and Splunk to oversee daily batch processes and promptly address any issues that arise
- Provide comprehensive application service delivery to support successful business operations, focusing on regulatory reporting requirements
- Implement and execute policies and procedures designed to maintain operational stability and ensure system availability
- Vigilantly monitor production environments for anomalies, resolve data quality issues in regulatory reporting, and enhance the use of standard observability tools while adhering to SLA requirements.
- Escalate and communicate issues and solutions effectively to both business and technology stakeholders, actively participating in stability and governance meetings.
- Drive initiatives for automation and reduce manual workload (TOIL) to optimize processes and improve efficiency.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:
- Must have a bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, computer science or information systems.
- Experienced in application development and/or production support in finance domain.
- Technically hands-on working with Linux, scripting (Shell, Python and/or Perl) and database systems (Oracle SQL/PLSQL).
- Working knowledge in one or more general purpose programming languages, plus an interest in learning other coding languages and skills as needed.
- Working knowledge of development toolset to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software.
- Quick thinker, problem solver (even under pressure) and a fast learner under constantly changing environment.
- Ability to automate and build tools for improved productivity, or eagerness to learn it
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:
- Programming experience in any modern language would be a great plus.
- Exposure to AWS Cloud and Kafka would be plus.
