About the role:
The Technical Solutions Consultant role is a technical presales role within Solutions Consulting (Presales) organisation, responsible for supporting the technical sale of innovative solutions and technologies. With particular focus on the Salesforce ecosystem, including Agentforce and AI-powered capabilities.
The key focus of this role is to support Solutions Consultants in their client engagements ensuring that all of the technical aspects of their demos are catered for and deeper technical conversations are supported directly with clients. The role demands a passion for innovation, a good understanding of software development, AI concepts, and the Salesforce platform, and the ability to translate technical requirements into demonstrable proof of concept solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Identifying opportunities for innovation and differentiation including AI, machine learning, and Salesforce platform advancements
Support the development and execution of proof-of-concepts (POCs) and prototypes for new and innovative solutions
Design and present bespoke architectural solutions that leverage cutting-edge technologies
Provide technical expertise for the wider sales organisation and clients on solution design within the Salesforce ecosystem
Lead technical presentations and workshops with clients and prospects, showcasing Bullhorn architecture, Salesforce and AI capabilities
Conduct in-depth technical discovery sessions with clients to understand their needs and challenges
Maintain a strong understanding of modern software development methodologies, frameworks, and tools
Explain and demonstrate API integrations, Microservice architecture, and other modern development practices
Be able to speak to software development best practices, and explain how they relate to the company's products and Salesforce customisation.
A key aspect of this role is the management and architecture of the demo environment including:
Maintaining Bullhorn and Salesforce demo orgs
Managing Salesforce package releases and org renewals
Implementing Salesforce (SalesCloud, MarketingCloud) and partner solutions (like Intelligree, 3B, MyWage)
Setting up and maintaining AgentForce, including related Agents, Topics, and Actions
Key Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent)
2+ years of experience in a technical presales, solution engineering, or solution architecture role, ideally within a SaaS or Salesforce-driven environment
Hands-on experience with the Salesforce platform, including Apex, Lightning Web Components, and Salesforce integration patterns
Strong understanding of modern software development practices and architectures (e.g., microservices, REST/SOAP APIs, CI/CD).
Demonstrated ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Experience delivering client workshops, POCs, and technical product demos
Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and Salesforce’s AI offerings
Ability to travel globally to support strategic client engagements
